We are letting them😆 Its not like I am writing an open letter or tweeting them to stop😆 And neither have I commented on their personalities or whether they are s**ts or not.. I merely asked about the change in fashion trend and the need to ape western culture which has increased in the last few years

arey I know you were not name-calling them,I was talking about few people in that disha patani thread calling cheap and all. Tbh I think it's ok if you don't like such clothes, because there's not everything everyone likes. As long as one isn't stopping other from doing that or name-calling it's fine.
ABOUT the western culture thing, that's gonna come with globalisation haven't you seen foreigners trying desi clothes 😆 We're all gonna impact each other ,hope in good way.
Hope I didn't hurt you

I am hurt.. deeply hurt.. My heart is wounded and broken into thousand pieces.. I doubt I will ever recover😆

But the thing is, the foreigners try desi outfit once in a while.. we on the other hand have become so used to the western dresses.. How often do you see someone sporting a saree or an anarkali in award shows.. Barring Vidya and Sri, rarely anyone does.. In western, when you wear a desi dress, you are supposed to be different.. Unfortunately the same goes for our desi events.. Even here, you stand out if you wear a desi dress.. where did the individuality go?

I think that's because we all tend to follow the recent popular thing Like Americans follow Korean fashion a lot these days. It's gonna happen.Anyway the boys don't wear psherwani or dhoti either😆
Saree is tough to carry though,I myself don't wear it more than once or twice a year, while in a gown its more comfortable. But saree does look good, but mind you not the blingy ones some tend to wear.

Such a pity.. Men look fab in pathani suits and sherwanis... The good old days I think saree is easy to carry... Gowns are more difficult especially the low neck ones and the ones with cuts at the not so nice places😆

Anarkalis are the best😆 Not to mention, why doesn't anyone wear a nice trendy sharara or gharara for that matter? I have rarely seen people sporting these in events.. Why? they are easy to carry

Really? Americans follow Korean fashion?

I know Korean beauty products are mentioned in many beauty blogs

^I haven't seen Asian fashion being followed by the West. It tends to be all about looking like a cute 14 year old for life. Short schoolgirl skirts, cartoon characters, lunch boxes, Hello Kitty type of stuff. I don't see anyone doing that except for those people who are freakishly into the Korean tv shows and boy bands but it's not a mainstream thing at all.

Same for Korean make-up styles. They do use the make-up products and they've become a big thing but they don't imitate their style. Korean make-up is about big huge eyes and circle lenses, bright blush, small lips with no lipliner, etc. It's again about looking as young and teenage as possible.

American styles are much older/mature looking. Deep dark eyeshadows and smoky cat eyes, nude lipsticks or those ugly 90s brown lipsticks are back in fashion, big overlined lips Kylie-style, lots of skin show in clothing, big butts, no "cuteness" like Asian style.
