Men are expected to wear black and white formals, or dark and dull colors. The idea of 'bright colors not for men' are a modern Western one.

Double standards everywhere. When men go away from it, see the reactions of the same people talking about women's dresses being influenced by West.

Happy birthday!!

I am all for skin show. My parents are very strict and the way I convince them to let me year my dresses is by pointing out neighborhood girls wearing even less.

I think the problem is in the statement that someone dresses to please anyone but themselves. Maybe they like these dresses and hence wore them and do not want to appeal to your sexiness meter.

The reason why I think the clothes have gotten skimpier and snuggier is because now more than ever before we have models and actresses who are extremely fit. I mean look actresses you are quoting- PC, Deepika etc- these ladies have bodies so well toned that they can carry these clothes. In bollywood most of our actresses have had normal bodies till recently (and huge followings too)- I mean madhuri, Sridevi all have had flabby tummies. These are dresses that they may not be able to pull off at all!

Well toned and fit. Breast size is genetic. You're born with big or small. Breast augmentation is the most asked for cosmetic procedure. The actresses do breast augmentation then they wear something which shows it off. Google sonam kapooor cleavage to see eg.

If anyone is allowed to wear whatever they please without due regard for sensibilities of others..then maybe it's OK in next award function.. if the actresses wear pants with holes in them which bear well toned or surgically enhanced butt cheeks...their body...their choice. Do you see the faultiness in your argument?

Someone comes into your party topless because they want to...is it OK? Your mum n dad might be there..okids might be there. So a public place is like that. You can't do as you like. You adhere to basic social norms.
