Raees will have edge on getting more screens, probably 3000. To do more than Chennai Express, it need to have at least 80+ cr 1st Weekend. Even if it make 150-200, Super Hit or Blockbuster status, this will bring back him in game.

I think it'll easily be a hit, the movie screams success... ones who also might've avoided watching CE, might go watch this one, because it seems to have everything - some serious 'content' wala movie + SRK + his role looks realistic and non-glam na.. I think it'll attract many people who are usually uninterested in commercial movies.

His last decent movie was cdi that was almost 10 years ago!!!

He needs to follow salman and aamir's strategy... Do something that evokes emotion from the audience..trick them into feeling for the characters. A dark and gritty Fan or Raees will earn him accolades from the critics but majority of the audience can't relate to the characters...
CDI still moves people...why? Coz people connected to Kabir khan and rooted for him...this formula with good script never fails.

Am bit apprehensive about the timing of Raees release

There's too many reasons to list but I don't think Raees will be the film that puts him back on the map.

Once he stops doing favours for his so called friends like Farah and Rohit, he'll be back on his track.
