Why did Dangal work and Fan didn't? - Page 2

Compare FAN to Talaash and Dangal to CDI...No logic in this comparison..About fan, only good thing about the movie was Shah Rukh, second half was so pakau and sleep inducing..

Yes fan was bad movie but SRK was good in it .

I think a good screenplay matters alot to a movie. I remember Kabir Khan while accepting award for BB last year, he mentioned that screenplay is the main backbone for a film. If that itself is shaky, the other aspects of a film may no work. Ofcourse barring Salman in this, cos lets admit it, he is probably the only one whose films do crazy business even if they are crap as hell(PRDP, Sultan). Coming to point, if screenplay is good, I think thats half a battle won. Fan had such a boring screenplay and I believe that worked against the film. I remember falling asleep in the middle of the film, and its rare I do that. It was so so so bad, and SRK was so weak in the film, be it as Gaurav or Aryan(though he was slightly better as Aryan). And ofcourse with limited songs and that genre, it was hard to promote the film extensively which ultimately led the film to flop. As for Dangal, it was promoted heavily and smartly falling back on the theme of women empowerment(relating to masses) and ofcourse people will love triumph against odds kind of stories so for Dangal, it all depended on the screenplay to work. And it does seem like it worked.

Coz Fan sucked and it was a blah movie.
Overacted and underdirected with some wannabe james bond meets jason bourne fight crap 😆

Film just wasnt loved by the fans. Both Dangal and Fan took good openings. So that means there was an audience for both films. Dangal went strength to strength. Fan well we know. The Fans rejected fan 😆😆

Dangal is gold, FAN is shit.
And shit does not sell.

Fan was a bad movie, is was shit, it was badly made, SRK hammed etc etc. Everyone is talking as if bad movies always fail in the box office, and Indian audience always accepts masterpiece.

Dhoom 3 was a embarrassment to all the action films ever made but it still made crores why because Katrina stripped and there's action that defied all laws of physics.

Prem Rantan blah blah was so mind numbing that I could barely finish it still made 200 crore why because there was brainless comedy and Sonam decked up like a jewellery store singing for her love and waiting for Sallu to write on her back while her booty sticks out.

Happy New year... the less said the better. It was a brainless movie... but it still made ALMOST 200 crore.. why cause DP was dancing half naked and everyone was making dumbass jokes.

The list goes on... Raaz 3, Hate story 2, Talaash, Dabanng 2 etc etc

If Fan had a item song with half naked chick and some dumbass comedy toh jhak maar kar 100 crore cross ti.

And as for SRK being bad in Fan then well its everyone's own opinion .. can't change that. I thought he was brilliant. But then I don't know much about acting like half the people with PHD in Acting here!!!
I'm sure everyone can survive for 25 years in this industry with just hamming as a talent.

Srk has been irrelevant at the BO for almost 10 years now with a slight sign of life with CE.

Whose Aamir going to be compared to next, emraan hashmi? Aamir is a much bigger star, that's why.
