Who said anything about Indian audience being unintelligent and stupid. Damn talk about reading something that isn't there. Indian audience knows good movie how do you think movies like Chak de India, Bajrangi, PK, Airlift, Dhoni, ABCD did good!!

But then do you know what those things have in common... they all deal with patriotism or rights or god... when was the last time a genuinely feel good movie with no agenda or half naked people or OTT comedy make 100 crore or more.

K&S deserved 100 crore domestically but didn't. Or DZ... people kept saying calling it rubbish and boring but couldn't see the message it was trying to portray. Why , because there wasn't some slapstick comedy to go with it.

Accept it or not Indian audience won't accept movies with subtle portrayals of any issues... everything needs to be spoon fed and in your face.

But that's just my thoughts!!!

2 movies which are very very different are being compared 🤢

If Chak De released today it would easily make 400 crores. Sports film with patriotic felings if made well works wonders always.

Its not just Indian audience, it is audience everywhere. There is a reason why Avatar is the biggest HW blockbuster and not the likes of Shawshank Redemption. So when people go like Indian audience don't understand good movie, I hate it. Audience everywhere wants entertainment and something to laugh at. There is a reason superhero movies(the summer blockbusters nowadays) always try to make as many punch lines and comic moments on their movies because that is what sells. For majority of audience everywhere, movies are about entertainment than art. Anyways the main thing is FAN was a poorly made movie, it has nothing to do with the taste of the Indian people. The 80 crore or something which it made was because of SRK.I know my last post looked it was targetted only to you, sorry for that, but when FAN released and meet with negative WOM from the public, most of the posters were like Indian audience does not have any taste, they don't deserve FAN. So when I read your previous post, I got carried away.

The list goes on... Raaz 3, Hate story 2, Talaash, Dabanng 2 etc etc

If Fan had a item song with half naked chick and some dumbass comedy toh jhak maar kar 100 crore cross ti.

And as for SRK being bad in Fan then well its everyone's own opinion .. can't change that. I thought he was brilliant. But then I don't know much about acting like half the people with PHD in Acting here!!!
I'm sure everyone can survive for 25 years in this industry with just hamming as a talent.

SRK has been hamming since 25 years and won 267 awards just for that

I suppose PK, Dangal, and maybe even D3's weekend collections are more than the lifetime collections of Talaash and their day 1 is probably bigger than Dhobi Ghat's lifetime collections too. So I should just assume that these two were just terrible movies and PK, Dangal, and Dhoom 3 are fantastic films.
