Without a doubt!

Alia is a natural actor. Looks pretty. clicks with the audience.

I wouldn't be surprised if she walks away with more praise then SRK in Dear Zindagi.

Yes..because she is effing talented. I'm not saying every talented person gets the opportunities she has got so far in her career but to basically give all the credit to Karan is a tad unfair to Alia and what she brings to the table as an actor. She's one of the best actors out there from the current lot. She got a great launch with SOTY in terms of people got to know who Alia Bhatt was but most out there I think will remember the reviews weren't kind to her at all. The fact that she has since then proved her ability as an actor with almost every movie that she has done says a lot about her talent. Be it Highway or UP or 2 States or now Dear Zindagi where she is getting plenty of acclaim for her performance.

There are many in this industry who have been backed by big names but haven't found much success. The girl deserves credit for making the most of the opportunities that have come her way and of course the fact that she is talented is something noone can take away from her.

You know I am always so put off by her negative vibes and plainess (read as aesthetically challenged), I avoid looking at her too long just in case I attract that kind of thing to my life you know accidentally. Stuff of FN Souza's paintings, she is.

She would have had to slog it out real hard.

Stalking the likes of Shanoo Sharma, audition after audition, lots of rejections... and then finally someone may have given her a chance. Or not.

But she was lucky to have found someone like Karan Johar who has given her some great opportunities.

However this doesn't mean that she has not worked very hard.

She has shown tremendous talent in all of her films.

In a year that had great performances by Madhuri, Rani, Priyanka, Parineeti, Deepika, Kangana, she walked away with a trophy (the other being Kangu) = in 2014.

She is growing with each film. And she deserves all the praise she gets.

Without karan she wouldn't have the exposure and this many films this fast but she's a director's daughter so I know she would have launched big time anyway. I will give her credit for gaining a fan following which is something some star kids never develop no matter how many chances they get. A lot of young guys follow her because she's got the girl next door vibe which they love.
