I don't know why some think that under certain conditions rape is justified. Like she was wearing those clothes or she wanted to tag along with strangers. Will murder get justified next for the same reasons?

And greivous hurt point is absolutely correct in article.
Anyways we are so blinded by women empowerment thaat we cnt see reality and its fine 😊 evrryone has his own Pov

& what is wrong with that ---- ? after concerts, clubbing, even dinner at times --- group of friends have done the same ---- u meet people u click with --- u go along for some fun --- drinking, eating, dancing, whatever ---- that's what it implies ---- it doesn't imply we are going to sleep them --- !!!
i understand the culture may be *new* in India --- but that is the entire point of the movie ---- Consent ---- if one is ready to sleep with the guys --- sure ---- but just b/c u step in their room means nothing of the sort --- !!
& there is nothing to be blind about such a logical matter --- !!!!

Ridiculous articles . In fact this is exactly what is wrong with our society. Women's character is judged by her behaviour & dress & even there t & c are applicable .

When a verbal statement of the girl without any other supporting evidence takes precedence over the overwhelming evidence of attempt to murder against her and when the audience believes that to be true, is the main harm that this movie causes.

=========================================================================

This movie not only tries to justify a criminal act of causing grievous injury to one person (or even murder) to someone just grabbing a woman when in reality she was openly being sexual (telling sexual jokes, how many stranger women shared sexual jokes with you on first meeting?) and touching the guys in restaurant.

=========================================================================

Shit like this makes my blood boil. Not only is it wholly incorrect on the law and what constitutes criminal acts, but trivializes rape and sexual assault. What the f**k even is "JUST grabbing a woman"? Plus, you can be as openly sexual as you want, it does NOT justify someone forcing themselves on you. Hell, you can even initiate sex and ask the person to stop midway if you no longer want to continue having sex with them. If they continue to have sex with you even after you've vocalized that you would like for them to stop, that IS rape. How difficult is this to understand?

Ladies and gents, if someone is threatening to infringe or infringing upon your bodily rights and causing the apprehension of death or of grievous hurt (IPC Section 99) - as in say, they are trying to rape you - you have the absolute right to defend your body (IPC Section 97) by using force, up to and including lethal force (IPC Section 100). Under IPC Section 96, using lethal force or grievously injuring your assailant is not an offense and therefore, NOT a criminal act. So, the movie isn't justifying a criminal act. It is your legal right to be able to protect yourself and your body.

I hate how when movies like Pink are released, people come out of the woodwork to yell "but what about the men?!?!?!?!". Stop redirecting a discussion about rape culture and women's rights to instead be about men and what they put up with. It is a bad-faith argument and a shitty derailing tactic.

Dafuq is this article?? The choice of words...Which decent girl would readily go out with strangers...But I am trying to locate that fortunate guy who being a stranger to woman had met a woman first time in his room and the woman willingly went with him...LMAO all this so tells the mentality of the person who wrote this. And this is where exactly the film attacks. CONSENT is the biggest C word. Chatting, smiling, touching(without wrong intentions), having food and drinks, cracking non-veg jokes all this are as much a part of having fun for girls as for boys. If a guy cracks a non-veg joke does it make him a potential rapist? Then why cracking a non-veg joke makes a girl a potential s**t? This is what the movie wants to explain. But some people never understand.

The writer is sooo ignorant and this is what I feel ... this is exactly how some men react when they feel that their 'position' is being threatened. According to the writer, the movie has victimized the woman & the makers have used 'deadly women tears' to gain sympathy.
This writer wouldn't have had a problem with the film if the guys were clichd, stereotypical rowdies eyeing girls on the road and then tried to force themselves on them - because that would be a clear cut black & white situation.

You know what in actual fact, the writer has a problem with the movie because it has in fact victimized NOT the woman. It has shown the woman to fight back the assault & defend herself. And that's exactly what he has a problem with. These kind of people feel ONLY those women should get justice who don't attempt to save themselves. He's trying to question that if a man can get punished for molestation, why can't a woman get punished for causing injury to the man who was forcing himself on her... and this is a direct reflection of how IGNORANT OUR SOCIETY Is.

HOW STUPID is this writer? These kind of people are not willing to see grey shades & real life people. NOT all rapists are rowdies on the road. NOT all girls who go in with strangers into their rooms are characterless. Besides, as someone pointed out - who decides the parameters of decency?
