Shit like this makes my blood boil. Not only is it wholly incorrect on the law and what constitutes criminal acts, but trivializes rape and sexual assault. What the f**k even is "JUST grabbing a woman"? Plus, you can be as openly sexual as you want, it does NOT justify someone forcing themselves on you. Hell, you can even initiate sex and ask the person to stop midway if you no longer want to continue having sex with them. If they continue to have sex with you even after you've vocalized that you would like for them to stop, that IS rape. How difficult is this to understand?
Ladies and gents, if someone is threatening to infringe or infringing upon your bodily rights and causing the apprehension of death or of grievous hurt (IPC Section 99) - as in say, they are trying to rape you - you have the absolute right to defend your body (IPC Section 97) by using force, up to and including lethal force (IPC Section 100). Under IPC Section 96, using lethal force or grievously injuring your assailant is not an offense and therefore, NOT a criminal act. So, the movie isn't justifying a criminal act. It is your legal right to be able to protect yourself and your body.
I hate how when movies like Pink are released, people come out of the woodwork to yell "but what about the men?!?!?!?!". Stop redirecting a discussion about rape culture and women's rights to instead be about men and what they put up with. It is a bad-faith argument and a shitty derailing tactic.
