I can only give credit to him for DDLJ. His true test is Befikre.

I respect your view but a film doesn't become a blockbuster because of SRK (fan, dilwale, HNY etc etc). RNBDJ is a BLOCKBUSTER. Millions liked the movie

^^ gotta agree to disagree. A star's current position has a big role to play in terms of success of a movie. As I said, he was on top of his game when it released. The movie is not universally liked from what I have seen. It is pretty much trashed. See how Salman could make an average affair like Sultan a BB but that doesn't necessarily make Abbas Mastan a genius director.

This is a director who managed to make a movie a blockbuster with a storyline as cheesy as the wife being unable to recognise her husband...without a Mustache!

So, I'd say he has the feel of the audience enough to be able to portray such storylines with conviction. That doesn't mean the quality of the film is great but the ability to pull through your conviction is a sign of a commendable director.
