I didn't like his work except for DDLJ so I find him average

Except for DDLJ which broke new ground I have heard I think he is average. He is also supposed to have ghost directed JTHJ and we all know how it was 🤔. He is a better head of a studio IMO

I won't judge how good director AC is...
I really love MOHABBATEIN & DDLJ too much.
DDLJ is a classic movie & refreshing! Mohabbatein..i feel it's unique. It's something different & touchy.
To me Mohabbatein is better than DDLJ...story & feelings wise.
RNBDJ is okish...SRK & Anu's performance made it worth watching!
For me it's,
Mohabbatein > DDLJ > > > RNBDJ

On the contrary it was "suggested" that Aditya actually "ghost directed" parts of DTPH, Veer-Zara + JTHJ.. 😉😉

his boxoffice record is among the top directors so that stats say otherwise to your view.

No that doesn't. I mentioned in my OP that all his 3 films are huge hits. The discussion is about the quality of the movies.

But would RNBDJ have worked without a SRK who was on top of his game when it released?
Fat chance!

I can only give credit to him for DDLJ. His true test is Befikre.

all his movies are superficial... his decent one is ddlj not for the characters or the plot, but the europe journey...

NOPE.
Hated DDLJ (of whatever I watched)
Hated Rab ne
Hated Mohabbtein

I have no hopes for Befikre but will watch it for Ranveer.
