Neither do I like RNBDJ.

Haven't watched Mohabbatein, so won't say anything about it.

I think Aditya Chopra plays with cliches and that has worked with the Indian audience in the past, but let's see how his cliches will fare with Befikre.

So, I would rate him a 5/10. Rest is mostly luck and timing.

DDLJ is pretty overrated IMO
But for that era it was new and refreshing! It must had something which clicked with so many people. 😆
Befikre will be the true testament to his directing skills.

Gosh! I can never wrap my head around everybody's obsession with DDLJ. It was just about Okay. Have never understood hype around it.
Mohabattein was average. Good Music and lots of leaves😆

Rab Ne was such a disaster. I'm ready to let go of logic as Cinematic Liberty at times but this was such a fail. Plus SRK was an eye sore. Both as Suri and the tight pants guy😳

Aditya Chopra is all about cliches and unfortunately or fortunately Cinema audience has moved past that age.

If both Befikre and ADHM underperforms then it will be fun to see the fan wars on here. One gives KANK vibe with less popular stars and other is just Neal n Nikki 2.0

Average. Not awesome.
DDLJ is a classic, but it had a more Yash Chopra influence of course. I actually liked Mohabbatein though. RNBDJ - No comments.

He is an ok director but its hilarious to read that his movies were ghost directed by Yash Chopra 😆

The rumor has always been on the opposite side, it was Adi who ghost directed Yash ji's films post Lamhe, sab kaam beta hi kartha tha naam pitaji ka hota tha and he didn't mind because he always sees/keeps the larger picture in mind 😉

You can. 😳

A lot of 'now classic' movies I don't really find the hype about it. I don't like Andaaz Apna Apna either for example. For that time and era, I feel as if 'Ishq' was so much better in so many ways. No matter how many times I watch it, I still laugh like crazy.

I don't like DDLJ either, although I do admit it's become a cult favorite kind of thing now. I would go and watch it in Maratha Mandir if I ever get the chance to visit that place.

Ironically, all the movies of SRK that have been hyped I don't like, baring Kal Ho Na Ho. That's the one movie that I think is absolutely fabulous. I, for one, differ from the majority of people who think KKHH was an awesome movie for example. All my friends are ga-ga over that movie while I think it's got an absolutely ridiculous storyline.

And of course, I actually love most of his flops - Chalte Chalte, Dil Se, Veer Zara, Swades are all in my opinion some of the best he's given. I'd also include Devdas and Chak De, but I don't believe those are actually flops per say.

I don't think Bekifre is going to go very far. Ranveer, even today, doesn't have that kind of cinema pull on his own. And that's for a good story. Bekifre just looks like a rehashed travel rom-com movie.

Pinks- Veer Zara is far from flop. It was a super hit from what I know. Not sure about Chalte Chalte tho. Most Yash C romances are overrated IMO. His taste in music is something to look forward to but other than that I don't get the hype. DTPH is one prime example of that. Hated madhuri-srk pair.
I loved Chalte Chalte! I thought it was cute and realistic without any KJoesque fluff and ridiculousness! 😆
