Sonakshi Sinha shares her perspective about ragging in colleges!

Sonakshi Sinha has garnered a lot of appreciation after the trailer of her upcoming flick 'Akira' was launched! During a recent interview of the film she shared her thoughts about 'Ragging practices' going on in colleges. Though the Government has declared serious punishment for such practices, Sonakshi has some contrast thoughts about the issue!

As issues like ragging is covered in the film, she expressed, "I feel that, for me, I did go through ragging when I was in SNDT which is an all girls college but it was a way of making friends with each other and honestly the people who ragged me or I ragged my juniors, we are still friends to this date. I feel it should be an enjoyable process and not something that you know, traumatize the student or a child for life. That is something that really needs to be taken care off and changed in colleges and schools."

hmm.. friendly bantering is nice, but some students take it to extremes :)

I know in some colleges... senior girls when rag... they ask the freshers to speak curse words... gaali nd all.. in full tashan nd all. .
main motive is to get the girls out of comfort zone to handle nuisance outside...
not everywhere. ..but in some places..

It depends from college to college.
My cousin goes to an engineering institute where ragging is mainly used for icebreaking and forging networks between students of different years. The actual ragging there is tame, as no one would do anything that hurts your privacy.

In this case, ragging is a good thing.

But I can imagine there are other places where ragging can take a nasty turn.

I agree with her for first time.. Ragging is fun if done in limits

who decides what is the threshold for that fun...while some things maybe fun for you, it may not be for others...

I was a very shy girl during college and even simple things as singing in-front of a group would have me shivering for hours later.

so NO, ragging can never be fun... cause people do tend to get carried away and exploit their seniority this way.

and Sonakshi being a celeb should first interact with families who have lost their kids to ragging, before making such reckless comments.

Ragging cant be uniform friendly , it can become friendly to extreme depend on personality of seniors. like some senior might friendly with u but many were there who enjoy humiliating other . Friendly interaction on introduction day might be ok but there should be no ragging. Regarding so na kshi she is daughter of kkhaaamosh so her experience might be different what a normal student face. i have gone through this ragging process as per my experience i saw many seniors were just there enjoy humiliating their juniors and more importantly try to show off in front of their classmate so also junior girls. 😆

when we were there it happened but it was fun our seniors just did for breaking the ice after that they are the ones who helped us the most

no one apart should be forced to do anything under the name of icebreaking!

we come in colleges to learn n grow not to bully
