Udta Punjab Review, Rating: It's even better than Gangs of Wasseypur, literally Abhishek Chaubey has invoked all his efforts in the direction of this film. Written by Abhishek Chaubey the movie has invoked almost every emotion which makes a complete movie. From Alia Bhatt's irresistible cuteness to Shahid Kapoor as a villain turned hero, UdtaPunjab remains top notch considering every aspect.

Udta Punjab Review

The storyline is based on drug problem of Punjab where almost every third youth is in drug's menace. Diljit Dosanjh plays the role of the police inspector who used to take bribe and let the drug goes in the city, while Kareena Kapoor is an anti-drug activist who is trying to eradicate this sin from the land of Gurus

The first 30 minutes are somewhat slow in comparison to the other parts of the movie and involves rock music, action, and drama. There is no physical violence and harm as such seen in the first 30 mins.

After half an hour, the movie goes into a deep meaning for next 1 hour. Heart-Wrenching scenes were seen when Kareena and Diljit were performing the investigation. This is again one of the best parts of the film defining different colors of the same story. The level reached on this part was equivalent to GoW.

But the last one hour is not just easy to go, but a difficult one to watch for light hearted people. Defining the side effects of using drugs story comes to the cheerful but sad ending. It's still hard to tell what has been lost and what has been gained, but the storyline and direction are just next to awesome.

All we can as Udta Punjab review, this is the movie of the year. SHAHID KAPOOR IS BACK. The movie involves every effort which makes a film perfect - Action, Investigation, Emotion, Drama, Suspense, Love, and Hate.

The Positives

An entire life can be extrapolated from almost every character who appears over the course of the film; Everyone has their own life but at the end Kashyap was successful in making all the parts accumulated as one.

Kashyap was modest and naturalistic mode while making the film. Unless otherwise needed, unrealistic violence has been avoided. There could be item numbers in the movie, but they were avoided keeping in mind the seriousness of the topic on whom the film is made.

Three of the actors Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Alia Bhatt already halved their fees for the film, and it would be difficult for them to pay off the basic costs after a leak on the internet. We will appreciate if the audience will pay a visit to theaters for watching the film.

The Negatives

Substance abuse has been highlighted correctly in the movie. The explanation has been given to the point where needed. There are parts where the language seems to play the tricky part because of repeated abuses. It would be a great thing if Anurag compromised a bit with the abuses so that the film will reach the audience it was meant to.

Music may not be good for everyone as the tone is variable throughout the time play. The scene in which Kareena performs investigation is little unsavory.
