I don't find Sid a particularly good actor nor Varun. I think the discussion is more about who has star and long term career potential.

@Bold good actor does not necessarily mean star or Tabu, Nawaz and Hooda would be on top in BW IMO.

No. Sid has no familial connections to anyone in Bollywood. He was picked for some modeling by an agency when still in school in Delhi and after a few years decided to move to Mumbai and try his hand in Bollywood.

It's kind of funny and ironic that people still think Sid is related to Manish Malhotra because in reality it's Varun who is Manish's nephew. According to MM himself Varun's mom is his sister cousin.

OMG NO WAYYY !! Not in this lifetime for sure. K&S solely belonged to FK and RPS !👏⭐️ Sid is a kid in fronta VD yet. In Dilwale he seemed to be the best thing if you're really not SRK-Kajol fan😛 VD shines through even the shittiest scripts, and Sid can bring down any good script to the level of kachra😕

It would take a lifetime for Sid to reach to VD's level in terms of acting+dance+Entertainment !

P.S. - Sid was really good in HTP.. ⭐️

Sid and Shraddha destroyed Ek Villian, although Mohit Suri already raped the Korean classic with his stupidity.
Badlapur was a movie which should have been called Ek Villian as at the we did not knew who was the Villian, who was the hero.
Varun is a chichora and his chichora panti is annoying, ofcourse he is after all David's son, but he is a much better package than Sid. Sid's performances in award shows show pathetic he is as an performer.

It would have been a NO before Dishoom trailer. But was VD bad in Dishoom trailer or was he bad. An under actor over an over actor any day. I excused VD's bad acting in MTH and SOTY because he was new and then HSKD for the same reason. Badlapur he wasnt extra ordinary and got overshadowed by Nawaaz which is again excusable. Dilwale too I excused his hamming as it was RS film and everyone hams in his films. But Rohit Dhawan isnt RS and he doesnt have any set style. What was the need to make VD ham like crazy in his film?

Sid is choosing different genre of films. He was fine in EV, HTP, K&S. What he lacks is screen presence hence how much he is able to achieve through his films is to be seen.
