40 cuts by CBFC make 'Udta Punjab' bleed!

More than 40 cuts for Abhishek Choubey's Udta Punjab were ordered by the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC). These, according to a source, include any number of expletives, plus a song. Visuals of substance abuse were also asked to be removed.The film's leading man Shahid Kapoor is a drug addict and is shown to be a serial abuser.

Rather than go to the Revising Committee of the CBFC, producer Anurag Kashyap went straight to the Tribunal in the hope of a hasty clearance with nominal cuts. Alternatively, the Minister of Information & Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore has also been approached to clear the film with an A' certificate, sans cuts.

Much needed movie on drugs is banned 😲 If Sensor board can allow movies like Mastzade why not a much needed movie on drug mafia????

40 cuts! and they even want to cut the scenes of drug use, then wat wud be the point of the movie if they dont show the actual drug problem?

Chutiyo Ko jo movie ban karni chahiye woh nahi karenge,Pakode kha kha ke bhaais jaise ho gaye bas baithe baithe Scenes cut karne hai Bakchodi karni Hai.
