How come talaash was not a flop cos of genre ? - Page 6

what people don't realize is that talaash wasn't actually a thriller. Thriller movies work all the time, look at airlift, neerja. Airlift actually made 120cr, look at holiday, etc. So these movies always work.

talaash was actually a suspense movie and suspense movies hardly work in India.its on the lines those old movies like someone gets killed and u have to find out who it is, not a chase, no real thrills.

the reason for fan not working is not because of genre but because it was not accepted by audience, it was simply a bad movie. I was looking forward to it, watched it first day first show and was really disappointed. SRK's acting was fine but the movie not so much.

and what was the need for all the vfx and wanting to make him look different when u have him easily playing srk so if he just looks like srk then why make him not look like srk? one moment he is looking exact copy of srk and everyone is fooled and the next moment he is back to gaurav 👏

and then the superstar is chasing him throughout the movie all by himself, kiya baat hain.

and he couldn't just say sorry to end it all. aamir would have said sorry and end it rite there but not srk, he would fight with him and let the man die but not say sorry, how can he say sorry he is superstar 😆

Those people who were mocking Aamir khan's star power at the time of talaash are coming up with lame excuses to defend SRK now. Going by their own logic fan has pretty much summed up SRK's Star power and box office pull.

How did u forget Murugadoss, the superstar director, not trying to belittle Murugadoss, but he was made out to be the sole reason for the success of the film here.As if Aamir khan was a nobody.

FYI, most of the genuine SRK fans like and appreciate Aamir too, myself included. Because we like their acting, not just their BO records.

You may not have noticed us defending Aamir in many of the intolerance threads but many of us did when he was being bashed on the forum at that time.

Its the Salman fans who gleefully celebrate every flop movie of every other actor to glorify their own star. Whether its Ranbir or Akshay or Hrithik or Ajay, everytime their movie flops, this fan group posts BO topics and celebrates these actors' downfall. I have defended HR, Ranbir, even Akki on many such BO bashing topics.

And you are here again blaming n generalising all Salman fans again.

The budget plays a big role in a films success and failure. Fan has a way larger budget than all the films being mentioned.
