How come talaash was not a flop cos of genre ? - Page 4

FAN is getting unnecessary hate here because srk stars in it .

I stand by what I said. I personally enjoyed Fan more than Talaash but I don't think Fan can be called a 'thriller' tbh. Nor was Talaash a good thriller IMO cause even its ending was kinda lame. But I guess you can say that general audience appreciated Talaash more or it could be a case of Aamir's goodwill from 3 Idiots having a flow-on affect on the box office collection of Talaash. SRK right now does not bear any goodwill and it's understandable why. 😆

Plus I think it's pretty silly to blame an entire genre for a flopping film. 😕 In my view every single genre can work depending on how neat the screenplay is.

talaash was neither critically acclaimed (only kareena's performance was praised) nor a BO success .

Talaash was a great movie. Loved it. Had a pretty good soundtrack too, Jee Le Zara is still a fav.

The right statement should be a thriller doesnt make as much money as a masala entertainer...
Its very difficult to make a proper thriller..most of them loose plot somewhere in between..not every filmmaker can play with a dark subject...Sujoy has that element in him..RGV once had

Taalash was a brilliant film till the supernatural twist came..what a shame
But aamir was soo good in it !!!awesome
I'm yet to watch fan..so dont know how good it is or bad
But i'm so glad SRK is experimenting..but a films business depends on how well the film is made not on the performances alone
A fan type of movie is bound to do less business than Dilwale type anyday

kareena and nawazdin were better than amir in talaash. BUT, claps to amir, once again letting others walk away with accolades in his movie.

Ur begam was 👏 spot on in talaash and taimoor/nawaz nailed it.rani and sherbaz were really good too

Far be it from me to defend SRK . But Talaash never faced the scrutiny that Jai Ho or Fan faced for underperforming. Why is that ???? Talaash failed to cross 100 crore (maybe even 90 ) 😆 . That was a time when more films were doing 100 crore .
