How come talaash was not a flop cos of genre ?

I loved Talaash btw, amaIng film. It did well because it had two recognisable actresses in Kareena and Rani. Along with songs. Something Fan never had.

I loved Talaash...should have been a super hit but couldn't because of its genre...it is one of Aamir Khan's best performances of all times..

Kahaani is the only movie which was a huge hit despite of the genre .its one of the best movie made in bollywood .the movie got tremendous wom and the budget also helped .

ekla chalo re is such a soulful song

edit-darr is another one .then they had superhit song and regular masala elements

There is one sure shot reason budget and 2nd marketing/promotion. Not sure if Talaash was a hit. Anyway the kind of critical acclaim SRK got , none of the above got. First time there is unanimous praise.

The scene where Aamir dreams about how he could have changed the consequences if he done things differently was f**king brilliant...both the direction and acting...that scene was amazing.,...one of the bests of BW...👏...I have watched Talaash like 10 times😆
