Of course he is Indian culturally but he isn't a national of this country anymore...he renounced his identity as an Indian citizen. He is not an Indian but Canadian of Indian origin. I don't see the big deal either. Wasn't Akshay the highest tax payer of India on some year?! I didn't see anyone complaining about his Canadian citizenship then. And he has been a Canadian citizen for many years now, I learnt that on this very forum few years ago. 😆 I mean...the guy is paying his taxes not evading them, not doing anything illegal or criminal, nor has he ever done anything to shame India or gotten in unnecessary controversies. What's the big deal?

In this interview from 2010, Akshay openly says he has dual citizenship with Canada. I'm not Indian so I don't know the technical details involved bht the point is he never hid the fact.
