Exactly! Since when did paying one's taxes become some sort of an achievement. We all do it. Considering he happens to earn a whole lot more than most folks living in this country, obviously he'll have to pay more tax too..lol hence the highest paying or whatever.

And nobody is making a big deal out of him giving up his citizenship. Some of us are just talking the double standards the exist here. Because the folks who are defending him would be the first ones to bash had a Khan here given up his citizenship.

Highest tax payer issue was brought up to show that he is a law abiding citizen of India. Plenty of famous Indians evade taxes and run even rich ones. Vijay Mallya?! Hello. Now that guy should be lambasted for being anti-national. Bacchan sr and Aish have recently been implicated by the Panama leaks. Why Akshay? I don't even know why he is being bashed all of a sudden when this "dual citizenship" issue was already admitted by him in 2010.

I don't think you have looked at all the posts here. Most of us are infact saying he ain't or can't be referred to as an anti national because he gave up his citizenship. At the same time a lot of us are pointing out the hypocrisy that exists here. Some here have some screwed up definitions of nationalism it seems. Where a Shahrukh or a Aamir have been called anti national because they happen to express an opinion that some didn't agree with. It's that double standard that one is talking about. A lot of the folks who are defending Akshay would be the first ones to call any of the Khans anti national had they given up their citizenship, it's that hypocrisy that one is referring to. I don't see anyone calling Vijay Mallya an anti national neither do I see any such term being used for Mr. Bachchan but God forbid a Khan expresses his opinion on what's happening around us and he's is called all kinds of names under the sun. Hope it's more clear to you as to where some of us are coming from now.
