To the actress that died Prats may her soul RIP. And obviously my sympathy is with her family. But this situation reminds me so much of the sooraj and jiah suicide issue. Once again a female who wasn't strong enough ended her life and the blame goes onto her boyfriend. I dnt knw much about the actress or her personal life and if her bf did in fact murder her than he should be jailed. But what I dnt like is the sympathy that suicide victims are getting and that the person who is alive and in a relationship with her is the 1 who is responsible. Let's call a spade a spade. People who commit suicide are mentally weak they wnt able to manage to with life and ended their life. If it wasn't a bf who was worrying them it would be something else which would have triggered them to commit suicide. I think that the media should try and be responsible about such issues and not sensationalizing it and give of the message that suicide is ok and always some1 elses fault besides the person who committed it. suicide should never be an option for any1 and that if a guy hits u hit him back, charge him and end the relationship. If he forces u to have an abortion dnt stay in a r/ship with such a person. Leave, end it that's your option not suicide. suicide is just the easy way out. We all have bad patches and have problems and get moody and depressed its an issue bt we all need to reach deep down and find our strength. It will never lie in any1 else. My post might seem insensitive to some. The girl just took her life but suicide is not acceptable, its not cool and its not any1s fault. If her son of a bitch bf really murdered her though than its a diff story. but still there is always 2 sides to a story

As i said before its very easy to give out such statements but very difficult for the person actually going through so much in their life. Its really easy to say not to end your liife over a boyfriend or some issue but the pain and depression that person suffers from, is not something someone else can understand only that person knows what they are suffering from. You come to an stage where you feel numb, your soul dies. You feel nothing and lose your dreams hopes everything. Its never easy to take your life, its takes a lot of guts to do that.

I'm sorry but what an incredibly insensitive thing to say. I understand that the media is probably covering this unfairly, but calling someone who is depressed and suicidal mentally weak is wrong. Comments and beliefs like these add to the stigma attached to depression and mental illness and makes it harder for people to come forward and seek help.

I agree that blaming the boyfriend here is wrong (I do not know anything about this actress or her personal life). But blaming her doesn't do anything in helping us as a society to prevent this from happening again and battle mental illness. Depression is a real scientifically and medically recognized disease. This girl obviously was in a very dark place to have resorted to such an action. Those who are not suffering from depression or mental illness will not jump on a suicide bandwagon because two actresses' deaths (years apart) have/are becoming high profile media circuses (again, years apart). So I don't agree that anything is becoming acceptable in any capacity.

Calling someone who commits suicide mentally weak is wrong. It is mostly preceded by depression which is a disease, a brain disease.

Agree, no one needs to leap into conclusions about who is responsible and the media especially.

Im not supporting suicide here but all i would like to say is that no one can understand the mental state of a person where he or she felt better to give up her life thab deal with her problems.Death is everyone's biggest fear and to call a person mentally weak is little harsh.Yes there are people who take this decision in a spur of moment but there are also some who might have dealt alot with their problems.

Calling someone mentally weak won't help much to educate the society either. Taking a life is never easy. Unless u are pushed to the extremes nobody will be able to kill themselves. Its only when u see noway out in life that pushes u to take such actions. Its not right its never right but they are not in the state of mind to make that rational decision anymore to think about it. And it is because of these statements that they find themselves in such situations to begin with. When they know how they will be judged if they ever speak about their problems. Seek help or advice they will be called weak and not normal. That they will be blamed for not being able to take control of their lives that pushes them to keep quiet and appear happy and normal in public places. So yeah its everyone's fault.
I m not blaming the bf nor do I know anything about them. But there are cases where people are mentally tortured and abused that pushes them to end their lives, In that case someone else is responsible and its murder. Sometimes when u force someone to pull the trigger u r too responsible for the death not just the one who pulled it. Manipulation and mental torture are crimes and they do happen. I also happen to know about a black belt karate player who used who was trapped in domestic violence for years. Its not like she couldn't hit back but the fact that she didn't shows the mental state of a person in that situation is very very different from the rest who gives their opinions about it.

The so-called psychotically depressed' person who tries to kill herself doesn't do so out of quote hopelessness' or any abstract conviction that life's assets and debits do not square. And surely not because death seems suddenly appealing. The person in whom Its invisible agony reaches a certain unendurable level will kill herself the same way a trapped person will eventually jump from the window of a burning high-rise.

Not sure what to say about this .. its sometimes difficult for people to see any good come out of their life anymore. I don't think it happens only because of one event or one person that impacts them. It is something like when some shit happens, then people try to get up and move on and either fix their situations or try to forget and hope for a better life situations ahead. But sometimes, the cycle of bad doesn't ends and keep happening on and on and on. It could be because that that person doesn't knows to do the right thing or stand up for themselves at the right moments. Usually that happens with depressed/distressed/abused people. And at some point they just give up trying and just give in to the crap. And that giving up can sometimes make life better (if you kind of become stronger/calmer by giving up on the things that shouldn't matter) or it can make things worst if really hopelessness and depression causes you to live with the demons in your head. The latter is just something that makes life so useless and painful that death seems like the best option.
We don't live other people's lives, so we don't know what happened to them in their infancy, childhood, teenage or earlier adult lives. Maybe they are just too broken and damaged. I only have sympathy for such people. I don't want to judge them for taking that extreme step. I wish they didn't have to do it but now that they have, I hope they rest in peace. Judging them seems too harsh a thing to do, in any which way.

I'm sorry what?? Mentally weak people will commit suicide whether it's because of one reason or another?? That completely disregards the toxic influence others can have on an individuals life.

It's easy for people who have never gone through depression to preach about suicide being the wrong answer to life blahblahblah (not directed specifically to the TM but to people in general right now).YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT STATE PEOPLE END UP IN WHEN THEY LITERALLY AND ACTUALLY FEEL THAT SUICIDE IS THE ONLY WAY OUT. I don't wish this illness upon anyone and yet those who have never gone through it absolutely should NOT pass judgements on people who have and unfortunately resorted to drastic measures.

Instead of trying to shame suicidal people focus on building an open and accepting/understanding community that wants to help prevent or treat depression/suicidal people!!!
