I am one of those crying about Kalki not getting the award ... and I did watch the movie in theatre the first weekend it released... So i guess some people would think I have the right to say it!!!!

Such a hypocratic post. When few months ago topics like "Does Deepika deserve awards" were posted, DP fan jumped into it defending and giving all sort of excuses like acting is subjective art, her performance were so good people wanted to adopt her, sour grapes and all sorts of things. Now what happen?? Achanak Kalki ke liya itna pyaar kaise nikal ke aa raha hai? Where did your sympathy go when member's were saying it was Kalki who deserved the award, not DP?

Hard to choose

Both were beyond amazing.

But, at least National award didn't avoid kalki totatally. Other awards didn't give her anything, they refused to see anything beyond piku and Mastani.

Oh-ho Kalki won the Swarna Kamal...thats great! I didnt realize it and I suppose only a follower of cinema or someone from the industry would know this. The media is highlighting Kangana's win as the bigger win while no one is speaking about Kalki's win which is the bigger achievement. All the maya of PR. (this time not Deepu's).

Edit add: Did some research and realized Swarna Kamal is for the Best Film only. She won Special Jury which has a higher cash prize as compared to Best Actress.

Yeah,special jury is Rajat Kamal but I think what makes it 'special jury' is that they pick the winner without any limitation-likr it's not just limited to actor or actress, etc.. Each year they pick up the best irrespective of the department they work in and I guess that's why it has the highest cash prize and also I think that's what makes this award a really special one for Kalki. It's one thing to be pitted against other actresses across India and another to be pitted against the whole industry and winning an award. So happy for Kalki.

How can regular newspapers and everyday news channels be anybody's PR? This happens every year. The awards that get the most hype are these main best movie, actor, actress and director. Even random news channels focus on them more. Not saying Kalki's win is smaller or something but that is how it works every year. Going by that logic..even best actor and director are getting more hype..so all of them must be blamed for stealing the lime light.
