There is no indication that KJo is supporting Fawad in any way like he supports Alia or Sid. This DP film is not true I think as she is now interested in HW. Anyway if KJo supports him he has earned it after giving KJo a hit along with critical acclaim for a small unconventional film that too in a role rejected by 5-6 Alisters who were too scared to take it up. Something which more commercial films like Brothers and Shandaar couldn't do despite having big stars who are supposed to be youth icons.

Thank you for this Shreya. KJO will never support Fawad's career the way he does for his SOTY kids, When the film was announced, i remember how people here had assumed that Fawad's character will be like the Shukla guy's character in that Varun-Alia movie, even many people complained that Fawad chose to play a second fiddle and film will be Sid-Alia centric. Kapoor and Sons proved two things that Fawad can get 100% kickass reviews for his performance, and Fawad will never chose to play anything that does not add up to the quality of his work for which he is known.

If Karan Johar is backing Fawad - phir toh gayi bhaes pani mein.

It should be other way around Fawad Khan must be shrewd knowing what KJo could be up to and accept nothing but the best KJO can afford otherwise politely refuse. He should be like Ranbir.

Everything is fine but why is it always necessary to make someone or the other or put something related to homosexuality and gay factor in the films? I mean, why FAWAD? No offence and I am not against homosexuality but I did not like how he made FK a gay. Karan is definitely in love with Fawad but he can propose to him in private, he need not make him a gay to SHOW his LOVE.

Bagging a gay role may not be an achievement but getting rave reviews from critics and public definitely is!

I have seen his work..not the film but the dramas. He is over-rated, even in Pakistan. If he couldn't impress me in dramas which had good stories, I doubt he would impress me in over-rated films like Kapoor & Sons.

Anyways...not everyone can turn out to be a Fawad fan like the majority of BW forum..right?
