and people here think that kjo is backing fawad's career. fawad has taken his own journey forward by accepting a role that other established stars stayed away from.if fawad is gaining by being associated with kjo and dharma,in the same way dharma and kjo are benefiting from their alliance with fawad be it for this role or the massive fan following he has within and outside india. it's a give and take situation. kjo is not naive to cast someone without doing his homework. his mom may be a fan of fawad but that aint the only reason kjo cast fk in k&s
Exactly! What is the backing here giving Fawad a role no one wanted? It was Fawad's performance and the director's handling of the subject that made it work. Only thing is Dharma has been fair to Fawad during the promotion and neither did they cut his role to prop up KJo's students as everyone expected so credits to them for that.
It's not as Fawad got a hit director or a high budget film to showcase him. Nor is KJo lining up work for him like he did for Alia and Sid by getting out the original choices and offering co productions. Even if Fawad gets any more work with Dharma it's because he made a film work which no one in the trade give a chance. Even for K&S Fawad was expected to give a good opening overseas which he did as this film is the biggest overseas opener this year.
Even in ADHM he has given Fawad a supporting role. Looking at the synopsis it's obvious it won't work with Indians in India. So he is making sure that the Pakistani diaspora has a reason to watch the movie apart from the characters being Pakistani. So no way is KJo backing him out of turn. Fawad comes with talent, good looks and a fan following which benefits the films that stars him.
