Star one used to be one heck of a channel!! All of today's TV superstars have come from there...Sanaya Irani, Vivian Dsena, KSG, Jennifer Winget, Sukirti Khandpal, Drashti Dhami, Mohit Sehgal, Arjun Bijlani, Rati Pandey, Siddharth Shukla. I mean its sort of an achievement. Their shows were so fresh and cult. Remix, Khichdi, Sarabhai vs sarabhai, MJHT, DMG, Choona hai asman, India Calling, Special squad...so many of them. Even laughter challenge, it established the trend of standup comedy in India. I also loved one of their game shows where each question had 10 options and the contestant who answered least expected option got max. reward. Forgetting its name but that show was really amazing. Miss that channel so much.

Oh yes I loved this game show, I forgot its nameThere was also sach ka samna, and just dance,both were entertainingOne had rajeev another had HR.Star one did provide a lot of tv superstars and all of them were newcomers or not so famous when they were cast by star one, that channel had an eye for potential.I do'nt understand why in the world they revamped it to something like life ok

Oh yeah JD used to air in all star netwrok channels at the same timeI guess,I watched it on star one😊HR was really adorable as a judge, he loved the contestants and gave financial support to so many of them to build their dance schools after they got eliminated, and they all loved him, and baibhavi and farhha complemented well, specially baibhavi she was adorable😳That was a dance show where performers were wow and everyone from viewers to judges to contestants to choreographers were acknowledged and all were so passionate about dance.

NDTV imagine used to have some good shows too, there was a hillarious family drama called jasuben jayantilal joshi ki joint family, where each character was so funny🤣t like the eldest son who would always instruct others what to do in a tough situation but would never move from his seat and lift a finger, or the wife of jayantoilalji's elder brother who would always say jiski pati nahi uski chalti nahi as she felt all ignore her as her husband left her, and her youngest son who had major insecurity and would always be like use bola mujhe nahi bola usse help manga mujhse nahi manga😭😆then there was ek packet umeed, a show about a ashram of women rejected and tortured by family and life, it was about how they find so;ace in each other's company, their unity and their hard work to earn by making home made things together and selling them ,it was such a beautiful show, potraying various generations of women living under one roof, finding themselves and each other.KMH was pretty good too if we ignore the pathetic ending😭

And what is this intelligence argument that you're using? Who on Earth said that someone is less intelligent if they like a Barun & not Fawad? What? That makes no sense. LOL. They're actors, they're going to be judged on their talent, then their body of work & mediums--- That is the only argument I use to demolish this Barun vs Fawad argument. You say you love Brit actors--- Well is a Tom or Benedict comparable to a Dev Patel? Same nationality, Dev had a big fan following when he was on Skins & then SM? But is he comparable to BC or TH? The comparison makes no sense. Or can Fawad be compared to a SRK? But Ofc they can!! They're from the same medium , do similar movies but Again, comparison is laughable because Fawad doesn't stand anywhere in front of SRK's 20+ Global Superstardom. This forum makes absurd comparisons & then expects people to just lap them up, I can say the same thing.

Compare Fawad to whoever you want, I for one don't care. He is NOT my protege or lover that this personally effects me, lol... But let it be a fair comparison because otherwise this comparison isnt fair to Barun. Like how SRK & Fawad isn't favourable to Fawad.


Would you compare Tom Hiddleston to a random British TV actor? No. Because the experience, the medium & quality of acting is all very different. There is no basis for a fair comparison.

Just the same way we won't compare a Barun to a SRK, Salman or even a Varun or SidM. But sure, if One wants to compare & do a futile exercise, go ahead. :)

Did someone mention British actors? Oh yes they are in different league alt8gether. Too many talented people. And BBC still makes some of the most beautiful shows. Their novel adaptations are their signature, no one can make period dramas like them. And among British actors, its really difficult to choose one as a fav.

Oh yes the quality of every aspect of a Brit TV show is not comparable to any Asian show. The actors usually are of an extremely high calibre because in Europe they've sound theatre training. It seems that they aren't considered actors if they haven't done theatre.
