This thread is never going to end I think. We all love tv way too much I guess. 😆

Did someone mention British actors? Oh yes they are in different league alt8gether. Too many talented people. And BBC still makes some of the most beautiful shows. Their novel adaptations are their signature, no one can make period dramas like them. And among British actors, its really difficult to choose one as a fav.

Not everyone needs to think that Fawad is a God of acting, and I see no harm in comparing him with Barun. Why? B/c acting is subjective. People have no less intelligence if they think that Barun is better, or anyone else, than Fawad, It is their opinion ji, such is yours about Fawad. An opinion not fact. So there's no reason to look down or say "no comparison" when it's just an opinion.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and art is perceived subjectively ji. People are allowed different opinions - no matter how ludicrous you or anyone takes them. Having a starkly different opinion does not make it someone's delusion. And that is a personal attack. "Attack" the arguments with counter arguments - no need to remark on someone personally.

I read a few pages, so this reply is consolidated to all of them.

And before I get labelled - no I don't think Barun is a great actor, nor does Fawad appeal to me to want to watch him. I prefer my Brit actors and think no one knows acting other than Tom Hiddleston - but it is my opinion, and not a fact.

+1.

I'm appalled at how the word delusion has been thrown around in this thread. I'm indifferent to both the actors but the out-lash over Fawad's compassion to other TV actors is crazy to put it mildly. I'm actually surprised, tbh. As if it's some sort of 'blasphemous' act. 😆

I am one of those people who don't really see anything in Fawad. He is just like everyone else for me, and this is coming from someone who has seen his ZGH/Humsafar work.

If IPKKND was cliched, I don't see what was so path-breaking about ZGH/Humsafar. It was the same wine in a different bottle. Maybe a more sedate approach than Indian TV but it had all the same tropes- rich, khadoos man with a poor, self-righteous woman and their thorny love story. Nothing new.

As for his popularity, I think it's a combination of hype and being noticed by the right people. Indian Tv is considered an inferior genre in India while Pakistani TV is treated like Vishnu's Kalki avatar. People love getting on the bandwagon in India and the opinion that Pakistani TV is revolutionary is really popular these days.

BW doesn't consider Indian TV a talent pool but considers Pakistani TV a pool to draw from. The right people noticed him and he is reaping the benefits of that, but I do not think he is more talented/charismatic than Indian TV actors. It's all about presentation and perception in today's world. He is nice, but there are many like him who don't get the opportunity.

wow..the situation of indian tv is so bad right now that we miss shows of star one 😆 ..
even i think fawad is a better actor than barun..way better but i am so glad that somebody brought the subjectivity argument and that it's not nice to call people delusional because of their opinions..i have seen many fawad fans do that..specially in relation to barun.
May i just use this opportunity to say that not every indian tv actor needs to learn acting from every pakistani actor..and also say that barun sobti has a good looking face imo which fawad does not..hey bhagwaan the man looked so weird in khoobsurat!

That's true, to each their own, if one prefers barun over fawad that does'nt make him a less intelligent person 😊Not everyone can like everybody, we all have our preferences, and its better if we treat our opinions as opinions not a fact, very well said👍🏼I do'nt believe pakistani tv is something ho so beautiful while indian tv is crap, both industries has its pros and cons, but I will choose indian shows because ek toh they are more entertaining and romantic, and they are much more relatable to me, barring the saas bahu sagas😳
