DP and her overrated acting as Piku does not come close to brilliant portrayal of Sonam as Neerja

Sonam i was actually scared for her while watching the movie. Piku I couldn't even sit through the first half!

Lol is this even a comparision?

Damn was her performance really that good? I had lost complete hope for Sonam but now I'm thinking maybe I should watch Neerja to see her performance...

Deepika! Although, I liked Sonam in Neerja. Deepika was able to hold her own in front of stalwarts like Amitabh and Irfan. Whereas, Neerja did have Shabana, but Sonam didn't have many scenes with her. I also think Sonam had to portray a character that was real, and kind of had a briefing in regards to the role. Whereas, Deepika had to start afresh. However, that does mean that Deepika had less restrictions as to how to portray the character of Piku, in comparison to Sonam's portrayal of Neerja. I would also like to add, the audience was so invested in Neerja and her heroic actions, that the portrayal of the character took a backseat. Whereas, Piku was more about the give and take between the characters. To draw a big picture, Neerja was driven by the situation, and the travesty that took place. Piku was driven by the characters.

never imagined i would ever vote for sonam as a good actress against anybody but she is the winner here.

if it was dips tamasha vs sonam's neerja, i would think twice before voting.

Piku was a very good movie IMO, did not found it boring at all. All of them acted well, although Amitabh stole the show, he was just freaking good. Deepika did well, but Piku was not exactly a very difficult role, although she looked so so yummy in that movie, gwad I wanted to eat her!(sorry for the perverted vibe)😆.
Sonam did an excellent job IMO, her performance was so beautiful as portraying Neerja and most importantly I could feel she waa just so privileged to do this role, she gave her best.
And note I am not saying Sonam is best because she played Neerja, there are many better acting performance than Neerja, but Piku is not one of them.
