Aamir Khan's statement on intolerance was totally misinterpreted by media! It was his wife who had suggested him the idea of leaving the country and he had just shared it quoting how his wife's thoughts worried and saddened him! Just like everyone else is!

...

Like these thoughts haven't crossed the minds of those calling Aamir out on his comments. *rolls eyes* These idiots amaze me. Instead of focusing on what Aamir said, how about fix the damn issues in India.

Lol serves Aamir right. As a public figure, he should have been responsible in conveying his thoughts. I think he didn't gauge the extent of damage his opinion would make. The intolerant issue was played up by the media and he thought lets get some publicity by saying something controversial. Unfortunately for him, it backfired terribly. Next time be careful Aamir or just don't say anything at all if you are not aware or educated about the issue.

Kamal Hassan had said the exact same thing a few years back when the release of his movie was facing problems...not his exact words but something like...I don't want to live in India anymore...I never saw any outrage against him...Isn't he a celebrity and a huge celebrity??

You can gauge the stupidity of meme creator by fact that it was 6 terrorists who were killed and 7 jawans who lost their life

For 90% of the population in India this intolerant debate is a non issue. People on the street don't even talk about it cos there are 100s of imp issues to talk about and deal with. Its media created, to rake trps for 24*7 channels and mostly sponsored by the Congress since they don't have any other issues to debate in parliament.
For a diverse country like India stray incidents of intolerance is a day to day occurrence which gets sorted out by people themselves.

BI. so are you trying to make it majority vs minority?

There are extremists in every community. May be you forgot to read Heisenberg's post here. https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/bollywood/4548722/what-is-wrong-with-this-pic?pn=3

Our very own Media only highlights it when it's sensational. Otherwise they ignore. That doesn't make a country intolerant. And if any country a minority is as happy as they are, It's India.

So, I don't get the whole Kamal Hasan argument. It was Media who blew the whole intolerant out of proportion in case of Amir whereas with Kamal Hasan no one focused on it. And Amir couldn't even watch his words. I am not saying burning his effigies were right. But Amir's words weren't right either. Heck, even Anushka's effigies were burned. Why doesn't India become intolerant then? Some section of people are like that. No matter what. Blaming ruling party for action of some and calling a country Intolerant. LOL.
