Our very own Media only highlights it when it's sensational. Otherwise they ignore. That doesn't make a country intolerant. And if any country a minority is as happy as they are, It's India.

So, I don't get the whole Kamal Hasan argument. It was Media who blew the whole intolerant out of proportion in case of Amir whereas with Kamal Hasan no one focused on it. And Amir couldn't even watch his words. I am not saying burning his effigies were right. But Amir's words weren't right either. Heck, even Anushka's effigies were burned. Why doesn't India become intolerant then? Some section of people are like that. No matter what. Blaming ruling party for action of some and calling a country Intolerant. LOL.

LOL...u are accusing me of doing something and then endorsing another post which is doing the same...😛...I agree with Heisenberg's post in principle and in parts...its about standing ur ground...and not about majority and minority...similar incidences should evoke similar emotions...right?? BTW I am not opposed to people bashing Aamir for his opinions...opinions can be countered with opinions in a civilized democratic country(if we consider India to be that) but calling someone a terrorist, violence and riots?? where is the fairness in that?? How fair was it for the rioters to not let someone who wanted to watch a movie...watch it...how fair is it to impose one's opinions on others just because u are in majority and can riot...and its true for all religions...not just Hindus...

I was not doing same as you. I posted Heisanberg's post to make a point that regardless of religion, there are extremists in every community.

You raised Kamal's case opposite to Amir.. for all to see what was the intention behind the question.

And You perception of India being tolerant or not reeks of Media perception.

For me, I do not rely on Media. 99% India is tolerant for me.

At the same time, I condemn Amir's statement becoz he jumped on the Intolerant band-wagon. Yesterday when I read Ranveer talked of having sex at the age of 12, I said the same thing. You are a public figure, you enjoy the perks, there comes certain responsibilities. Primary one is watching your words. Coz there are people who follow these celebrities. Put them on pedestal. And so, act responsibly. Don't throw around words without proper knowledge.

But don't you know that shahrukh is a muslim by name and india is only hindu country so by that logic this mullah was talking about intolerant hindus only .
