I dont believe he is so busy that he can not write a tweet about such incidents. But he dont want to speak against his fellow muslims.

Muslims don't denounce terrorists? W*F? Muslims everyday denounce terrorism look at all social networks and most Muslims denounce ISIS and the likes. Most Mosques nowadays preach against extremists. I don't know what Muslims are expected to do stand on rooftops and shout out a loud that we're against extremists or write on our foreheads for people to believe majority are against the extremists?

Not so much denounce, as addressing the ideology behind the terrorism, because if you do, then you have to talk about religion, and then you'd get labelled an Islamophobe, racist, bigot etc if you do. 😆

That's why I love people like Tarek Fatah, a writer, author and columnist, he is completely fearless, and doesn't give a shit about offending anyone whilst speaking the truth. 😆 He was in India recently, and was invited on a lot of news channels, they didn't know how to handle him, a Canadian Muslim of Pakistani origin, who is an Indian by heart, and takes pride in his Hindu heritage. For the first time ever, we were seeing taboo topics being debated on news channels, like does terrorism have any connection with Islam etc.. he had the Mullahs squirming. 😆 He's the one who spearheaded the idea of changing the road name "Aurangzeb Road" to "APJ Abdul Kalam Road". 🥳

We need true secular liberal Muslims and reformists like Tarek Fatah, who are not afraid to have these discussions. There is also Tufail Ahmad, another Indian Muslim, and Hassan Nisar from Pakistan.
