he probably is not made for big films but he is made to make small film big. All his big films are disasters except yjhd. Where you have to play big larger than life roles, he is not comfortable.

He is too much of a natural actor. If a role demands him to be anything else than what he is comfortable with, he falters. One area where he is comfortable is doing barfi like acting.

period from 2007 till 2011 didn't have good actors from his generation... now, ranveer and varun are very good in what they do..and probably more hardworking?

most importantly, he doesn't have clean head, he jumps into many films at the same time.. this generally doesn't come out nicely in the end.. and he is choosing wrong films lately... why would anyone do kjo's films when u can get better directors..

finally, he repeats his director friends too much even if scripts might not have anything...

But he is a good actor, no doubts... should be back soon on a good script

lol @ he is versatile..If he cant do one genre it means he's limited to some genre which makes him not versatile actor..He is limited to some genre he knows it and he cant move away from that so thats why he's declining. the bad news for him is the audience discovered his limitation they see his weakness. He's good actor for those genre's he does thats about it... was Govinda bad actor? I dont think so but look what happen to him? as soon as audience figured out his weakness they flopped him.

Hrithik was declining too when his father rescued him but who is going to rescue Ranbir? lol Karan Johar cinema is gone and people are tired of him and his same all same all stories.. his best shot is RKH or Kabir Khan but both are in Khan's pocket.
he will get hits like Abhishek but no huge huge hits any time soon.

but does he do drugs? he looks weird at times just asking.

Bad movies, he is solely resposible for his decline and no one else should be blamed.

He needs to change his attitude and stop doing movies for his friends and family, salman anyone?

Choose better scripts, and stop doing drugs..it will bring back the spunk in you which has been missing!!

Oh and no one can make or break anyone's career, at the end of the day everyone is responsible for their own choices.

Declining? Really? I don't see his career declining. Sure he's had some poor choices lately, but he's one of the very few who has the acting chops in his genes!! Love him!

Do you need reading comprehension lesions? Pray tell where exactly was Ranveer even mentioned in those sentences? Get over yourself and stop with the ad hominem attacks. Not everything in the world revolves around one's favorites. 🤪

ranbir is going through a bad phase correct, but i also think varun, ranveer recent successes emphasise that even more. whn your competition is riding high on success, ofcourse its gonna make ranbir's failures seem more magnified, but I think ranbir is a good actor, however in today's day you need to have a defined commercial image in order for audience to identify w/ u. hence, i think if ranbir did another good quality movie a la wake up sid or rocket singh with small budget and worked on setting up a strong image, then it might work.
that said, every actor goes through a low, after a high and its key to go through that, so you know what works and what doesnt. and its unfortunate that his movies failed, but his movies on paper (barring Roy) sound good. besharam with mom and dad, after YJHD, specially with sallu masala movies being so popular, seemed like a no brainer to expand his commercial presence. it did get 20cr + opening, something none of the new gen has managed to do. bombay velvet seems like a good idea on paper, and post besharam fiasco, would be the "different" movie that audience may seek from biru, but the movie was rife was controversy and at the end, no one was bothered to promote it. Tamasha was a good comeback -imitiaz always manages to extract a good performance and if the budget was lower, surely it would have been known as a bigger hit.

i think at the end, ranbir needs to find his commerical space, and then work in his different/edgy movies, but cannot seem to combine both, with jarring back to back films, leaving audience confused as to what to expet from him. ppl watch chris prat, for example based on his roles in guardians, then jurassic, not wtch his jurassic based on parks and recreation.

Blaming Ranbir's parents makes no sense cause Ranbir picks the movies he wants to do and rarely takes his father's advice with regards to scripts. If his father had his way Ranbir would be making choices like Varun Dhawan.
