Trying to be a hero of Masses by doing Besharam. I have always felt that he is Multiplex's actor. He miserably fails in masala stuff!
I don't blame him for choosing BV n Tamasha because both might have looked great on paper!

Wasn't Besharam his attempt at doing a Masala movie and connecting with the audience? He didn't seemed to have a problem connecting with them pre-YJHD days. :/

I don't think he's the kind who fits a Masala movie role. I can't imagine him doing anything other than a coming of age 😆 He doesn't lack versatility since he did do Barfi and Rocket Singh but he's just not as successful as say Ranveer Singh who seems to really gets into the skin of the character and excels in versatile roles.

Even though i don't like him but i don't think that he is going somewhere but he just doesn't have the mass appeal .

Ranbir is a great actor, may not be as versatile.. loved him in YJHD, WUS, etc... I think it is mostly to do with his choice of scripts... He should stop working with Imtiaz Ali..😆

His coming films are with kjo , hirani nd ayan who hv 100% success ratio. Boi also mentioned that if ranbir will keep on working with directors like imtiaz , Anurag kashyap nd basu, he willnt be able to get the commercial success bcoz to come out of this phase of his he needs to do more appealing films which connect with majority.

After yjhd he had got the license to try new genres nd prove his versatility and that backfired but since the former mentioned directors haven't tasted failure yet, ranbir still is very much active and in the game.
