Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has several nicknames and titles given by his fans and followers and it would be no wrong to add King of Box Office Clashes' to it. The Shah Rukh Khan phenomenon has once again been proven with the much-hyped Dilwale vs Bajirao Mastani clash on the box office. Despite the presence of unfavourable situations created, the 50-year-old superstar has emerged victorious once again, now that the numbers of Rohit Shetty's masala flick Dilwale's box office collection are released.

1. Ram Jaane vs Akele Hum Akele Tum in 1995
On November 29, 1995, it was the battle of Khans with SRK taking on Aamir. While the former was seen in an nentertaining, massy Ram Jaane, Mr. Perfectionist appeared in Akele Hum Akele Tum. The audiences gave thumbs up to both films but it was Shah Rukh movie that raced ahead with 9 crore earnings compared to Aamir's film earning seven crore.
2. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai vs Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in 1998
The epic story of friendship and love in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai starring Shah Rukh, Kajol and Rani Mukerji instantly struck a chord with the audiences. The movie faced a tough competition from Amitabh Bachchan-Govinda starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan " both the films released on October 16, 1998. But it was SRK's charm that helped KKHH become highest grossing movie of the year followed by Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
3. Mohabbatein vs Mission Kashmir in 2000
The 2000 love saga marked the return of cult movie Dilwale Dulhaiya Le Jayenge director Aditya Chopra and his favourite actor Shah Rukh Khan. The movie also starring Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan set new landmarkswhile Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Mission Kashmir, featuring Kaho Na... Pyaar Hai superstar Hrithik Roshan tanked at the box office. Mohabbatein earned 42 crore rupees while Mission Kashmir stopped at 23 crore rupees.
4. Veer-Zaara vs Aitraaz in 2004
Veer-Zaara and Aitraaz was a memorable clash at the box office, with a lot of hype surrounding it. On one hand, Veer Zaara was an out and out romantic tale between an Indian Air Force pilot and a Pakistani girl; on the other, Aitraaz had an out of the box, powerful story. Despite Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Priyanka Chopra starrer Aitraaz winning over critics, it was Shah Rukh Khan and Priety Zinta, along with Rani Mukerji's Veer-Zaara under Yash Chopra's direction that won audiences hearts and eventually ruled box office charts.
5. Don vs Jaan-E-mann in 2006
Shah Rukh Khan took a huge risk with the portrayal of iconic Vijay/Don in the remake of Amitatbh Bachchan's all-time classic Don. The situation became trickier as he faced stiff competition with Jaan-E-Mann, featuring star trio Salman Khan, Preity Zinta and Akshay Kumar. But nothing proved to be a roadblock for Shah Rukh, whose Don rolled over Jaaneman, earning big numbers.
6. Om Shaanti Om vs Saawariya in 2007
This clash has to be the biggest amongst all we have seen so far. On one side, ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali was launching two star kids- Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor in Saawariya. Brand Shah Rukh Khan was backing director Farah Khan, along with actress Deepika Padukone making her debut inOm Shaanti Om. The face-off was so one-sided in SRK's favour as he laughed all the way to the bank.
7. Jab Tak Hai Jaan vs Son of Sardar in 2012
Yash Chopra's swansong, Jab Tak Hai Jaan starring King of Romance with two beautiful actresses, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Chopra was not well received by critics while audiences felt it was tad too long. Despite all the challenges, JTHJ was good enough to beat Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha's masala flickSon of Sardar in the box office collections.
8. Chennai Express vs Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2 in 2013
One more time Akshay Kumar faced the wrath of daring to compete with a Shah Rukh movie on the box office. OUATIM2 received a tepid response from the audiences while SRK and Deepika Padukone's potboiler Chennai Express, directed by Rohit Shetty went on to create box-office milestones.
