Dilwale box office collection: The Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol love saga earns Rs 9.22 crore overseas!

We revealed to you a while back how Dilwale crushed Bajirao Mastani at the UAE box office and now we have more figures from the overseas markets trickling in. The clear winner is Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale as it earned Rs 9.22 crore (approx) overseas on Day 1, which is a really good collection.

The film did well at the UK box office as it collected Rs 2.22 crore on Friday. As trade analyst Taran Adarsh reveals on Twitter, "#Dilwale takes international markets by STORM... UK: Fri [Rank 2, after #StarWars] 218,803 [ Rs 2.22 cr]. AWESOME!"

In the Australia market, the film earned Rs 1.04 crore on day one. As Taran Adarsh added, "#Dilwale - AUSTRALIA: Fri [Rank 6] A$ 143,352 [Rs 69.33 lacs]... NEW ZEALAND: Fri [Rank 3] NZ$ 79,292 [Rs 35.39 lacs]. TERRIFIC!"

However, UAE was the biggest market for Dilwale as it earner Rs 5.96 crore on Day 1. As trade analyst Komal Nahata reveals, "#Dilwale 1st day in UAE best ever for Hindi film, approx $900,000 (estimate). Ahead of Star Wars by 60%, & of #BajiraoMastani by around 400%"

Overall the film has done better than Bajirao Mastani in all overseas circuits. The film has received mixed reviews, but it still continues to do better than the latter, even though BM received good reviews. And with a better occupancy than Ranveer Singh's film, Dilwale is all set to earn more at the domestic box office too.
