Intolerance in India is so highly exaggerated. Most people who live in india or in western countries make the situation sound worse than is actually is. One , it isnt even half as bad as what its made out to be and two, in comparison with many gulf countries its definitely nothing, and i can endorse this having lived in the gulf.

"Tolerance and democracy" means he has a right to express his disappointment like every other citizen and others have a right to oppose it. But the extremes like burning his photos, throwing stones and telling him to leave the country is so juvenile.
Eminem wrote a song dissing US President , Benedict just dissed UK Govt, so many examples. There is a section of artists abroad who object to migration or say BS about religion , troll, ignore, disagree. But the juvenile argument to leave the country and then overhyping them.

People need to stop hero worshiping and giving imp to these Khans. How does their opinion becomes a validator for a country , if it does , should we diss America over what Trump says or what SNP says in UK. Meh.

Currently, world has become intolerant. Paris, Syria, Lebanon, South Asia ..nobody has it easy.

It works both ways.

Even India doesn't need certificate from him or his wife on whether it is tolerant, safe or worth living in or not.

The country owes nothing to him.

He (or his wife) wondered if they should live here or not. No one else started it.

He was nt speaking on behalf of entire indians,he was talking abt his family!
He dint say that entire india wana migrate!

ofcourse 70% of india is civilized..look at you all here..civil.people from India..so in no way i am calling everyone that

but if i speak about a country..i will say India..coz there is 1 India..and it is made of different people..so if today when i see some one like aamir being targetted and such hate for him over a mere opinion..i would obviously conclude that those odd 30% are making india an intolerant nation..

I get what you are saying. Actually general population doesn't care much about the religion etc..it welcomes everybody with open arms and if they are talented enough, they won't think twice before appreciating them or saluting them. But then again there IS and EXISTS a section of population who go berserk over every effing thing and label people as anti nationals. Not just muslims, but even Hindus who slightly criticize them have to face their useless and pointless wrath. The sad part is we are being used to ignore these useless souls by terming them as extremists etc..even their party doesn't take any action against the hatred these people spew. It's disturbing and alarming that these people get to spew such venom while being in power. It is a matter of concern and I think severe action should be taken to bring these idiots down. I don't agree with Aamir's statement either. Things are not suffocating as he made them seem, yes problems are there and everybody is fighting them in their own ways, still calling one a terrorist, anti national yada yada for criticzsing a country is alarming. Also media loves sensationalizing things, which is worsening the situation. But to what extent do we blame them though. These are the same people who either praise a political party to skies or diss them like crazy depending upon their convinience.

His timing was wrong when he said abt intolerance. He should say this thing during serious riots and bomb blasts. For him country become intolerant in last 8 - 10 months this is white lie and should be intolerated.Foe does not mean to accept lies.
He was talking as if 125 crores people are fighting on streets and wants to kill each other asap

I don't understand why such a huge issue has been created due to his statements. He is free to say whatever he wants. Kudos to him for sticking to his words despite the over reactions of some.

it saddens me that one cannot even express his views..and if he does..his posters and burned and what now. Thank you India for proving exactly what he was saying. How INTOLERANT..some one says a mere thing and we see his posters being burned. So India is only tolerant to those saying it is the best place ever? any one who raises his voice on any issue or highlighting any negative aspect..he should be kicked out? Wow

i am sorry but this nation is intolerant and 70% of population living there is the proof of it..until these people don't stop with the threats and burning of posters of anyone who even raises a voice on any issue..i see no hope

the recent episode of fawad and mahira not being allowed to shoot in mumbai again only emphasises how intolerant is India. Shame!!

P.S: yes pakistan is worse..and yes i admit it being a pakistani..i don't want to be deluded..but just because India is better there..it still is intolerant..and the first step in changing it would be when people realize that and change themselves

the point of many people admonishing aamir is that the pot should not be calling the kettle black
there is always this outcry when few extremists shout in a secular country, but at least there is discussion about the topic, and aamir is very right in doing that , he should have just not used himself as a target of the intolerance, he is anything but, very attention seeking

where is the outcry about beheadings of secular bloggers in bangladesh, about atrocities against minority religions in pakistan, saudi arabia, etc. complete sanatta
there should be change in India , but why not a request for a change in your country ?hypocritical much?

Media is problem not nation , we sensationalise 1-2 stray incidents and keep exaggerrating , which gives license for entire world to point fingers at us , Noone is calling the actual intolerant countries intolerant rather they are making India look worse , A few ppl hungry for publicity from when did they start defining a nation ?
Post Dadri , there was this beautiful picture of muslims offering Namaz in Ganesh pandal in bangalore now how many newspaper did bother covering it ?

Aamir has no release this year so got his dose of limelight with this.
Everyone has heard Aamir's interview. No one twisted his words.

Anyway Pakistanis need not comment on Indians or India here. We saw how forum was on fire after what Saif said about terrorism and Pakistan. Wonder where did FoE go then?

😆

End the drama though. Unnecessary controversy.

We are not allowed to generalize Pakistan but they are free to generalize India 😉

Funny how some Khan fans are saying that Aamir has been proved right when they themself couldn't tolerate Amir's criticism well 😆
