Considering statistics showing Varun being ahead Ranveer in Box Office pull.

Deepika's least commercial films opened to 4-5cr

Varun's Badlapur opened to 7cr being adult's only film.

So Varun itself is big threat to Bajirao Mastani. Let alone SRK - Kajol jodi

Not a Dilwale fan. Nor gonna support it. But will pick it over BM since Varun's in it

Varun is undoubtedly ahead of Ranbir n Ranveer in terms of BO right now!

When you put DP's latest films in the comparison, he seems ahead of her too! 😲

It's a valid point. Ultimately it may be a SRK film but Varun's contribution shouldn't be underestimated. The trade has recognised it too, most of the articles are acknowledging his presence as a key pull for the youth.

BM may be confident that it has the youth on it's side, but the film is a historical. Do teenagers really enjoy such films? I was overhearing my sixteen yr old sister and her friends talking and they're not interested in BM at all cause it looks slow and boring whereas they're excited for Dilwale cause of Varun and Kriti.

Ranveer is a B grade hero who relies on his heroines for success and has ZERO appeal. Both Kill Dil and DDD bombed. Varun is young Salman Khan of this generation.Don't compare the two.

Right now, Varun is definitely ahead. With badlapur and abcd-2 being hits, he's doing really well for himself. Dilwale has the right combo - SRK+Kajol, Varun-Kriti and RS.

For BM all credit goes to Sanjay Leela Bhansali and no one else.

Truly grateful to him,his dedication and hardwork.Fans are proud that their stars are in the film.

Whatever the fate at the BO may be...

I remember after a couple of years after the release,Hrithik saying that for him Guzaarish was the perfect film,he was 100% satisfied with in terms of performance...It was a disaster at the BO.
