'People Wanted to Know Why Athiya and I Were Not Dating': Sooraj Pancholi

The Hero actor feels that even the audience needs a break from his co-star and him!

When a 24-year old brand new actor says he has 10 scripts in hand and he likes 8 of them but is still taking his time before signing on the dotted line, you know that his debut film weaved a kind of magic that is seeing him reap the benefits now. We're talking about than Sooraj Pancholi, who was launched in a dream debut by none other than superstar Salman Khan.

With years of experience behind him, Salman was bang on in portraying his young protege in the right light. Sooraj was rightly able to show off his toned physique, dialogue delivery and his stint at romancing co-star Athiya Shetty. Impressing filmamkers with his talent, Sooraj could be discussing a script with Remo D'Souza soon. He says, "Yes, Remo sir wants to narrate a story to me but we are yet to meet. He is busy with his dance reality show. Once he's done with that we'll connect. I'm looking forward to listening to the script."

Hero didn't really take off at the box office, but the actor is quick to point out that it worked for him and his performace was appreciated. Though on the prospect of working with his mentor again he says in a mumbaimirror.com article, "We haven't met since Hero released. Deciding on your second film is a tough decision. I definitely want to do another action film, and a love story. The content-driven subjects can wait till I am a little more experienced. Once I decide, I will ask Salman sir for his opinion. Even if the film rolls in mid 2016, I should have a release by the year end."

Finally, on his love life and the beautiful Athiya Shetty he says that even the audience needs a break from them! Sooraj says, "We were never dating. In fact, a lot of people wanted to know why we were not. I don't think we will ever date because we don't have those kind of feelings for each other. But we are good friends and discuss the offers that we are getting."

Maybe because Aliya ko apni jaan piyaari hai and she didn't wanna end up like your last girlfriend. 🤢
