Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 has emerged a surprise winner as collections on Monday have held up very strongly. The Monday business of the film will be around 4.25 crore nett which is just 25% doen from the first day. The film has had a very strong hold in Delhi NCR and East Punjab as the film finds solid appreciation in these two markets assuring it a good run here at least. The collections remain average in Mumbai and on the lower side in South and East.

The film will probably end up with the Delhi /UP business being on par with Mumbai in the long run. It could even be better even though Delhi /UP is the smaller circuit.

This sort of hold on Monday gives it chance to hit the 35 crore nett mark even though a big film like Shaandaar is coming a day early on Thursday. If this trend continues on Tuesday the it will get a fair amount of screen time even with Shaandaar coming especially in Delhi NCR. East Punjab may be a hit as a big Punjabi film also releases there on Thursday.

Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 held up very on Monday with collections dropping around 30% from day one. The hold in Mumbai was very good as it had been under performing over the weekend. The business of Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 over the first four days is as follows.

Friday - 5,75,00,000

Saturday - 7,00,00,000

Sunday - 7,75,00,000

Monday - 4,00,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 24,50,00,000

The film would normally land up with a 35 crore nett plus week on this trend but here the new release will come in Thursday so it depends on how it plays out on Thursday. The holiday advantage can compensate the new release factor.
