sanjay's jail sequence is being filmed now, so I guess she isn't starting anytime soon.

It should be 7th april as its a Friday. So 8th is obviously wrong.

Your other question, Sunil Dutt wasn't given support from Congress party to get Sanju released, so he took Bal Thakre's help. He may have not fought elections for sometime and there may have been some deal. His daughter is still in Congress, so who knows what is truth?
