Why doesn't AR RAHMAN Compose songs like these anymore?

I just heard this composition few days, and it's a mind blowing composition by Ar Rahman, I never he could actually go par beyond Rangeela Roja or Bombay but this song notches above - it's sensous, its melodious, it's classical, it's western...it's a hip number all in a great composition - another thing the song seems underrated and from a film that came and went away - no one knows
the picturization of this song is funny both the actors ain't Anil kapoor 😆 and pooja bhatt ain't able to do justice but the song just takes your breathe away...listen it for around 2-4 times and it will definitely grow with each loop

here's the audio version much better

I head this movie was a remake of a telegu/tamil movie so this composition could be redemption of that version but whatever it is - it's amazing...Rahman was a genius when coming to do fusion in those times

what's RAHMAN chunking out these days ---- songs of JTHJ were a disgrace - a song like Saans sung by typical Shreya Ghosal seems more like a pritam number than from rahman signature collection. he should bring back the old gem of singers like Chitra, kavita krishnamurthy... .the current breed Shreya, Sunidhi they do not fit in the world of Rahman...

the last good composition I heard from him was Heera from Highway otherwise he is not up to the mark like before.

Rahman's time is gone, he is concentrating more on hollywood. he has already given his best and won't be able to cross that.

ARR songs are different.. They only grow on u with time.. I never used to like JTHJ and Highway songs but today they are always on my playlists, esp Heer/Saans from JTHJ and Maahi Ve/Pattaka Guddi from Highway.. His songs have always been like this.. Ofcourse his recent outings don match to his older gems but I feel thats because his 90s and early 2000s songs were too forward for that era so they sound new and magical.. I love his south compositions the most.. He is still my most fav MD because I literally grew up humming and listening to his music mainly.. Waise all legends do slow down after sometime.. New people would take over so they can grow into legend one day as well.. If there is one guy who I feel can atleast come near if not match up to ARR in bw industry now, its Amit Trivedi.. His tunes are new and catchy but Im sure after sometime his music too would be boring to listen..
Edit : And I agree with the two above ^ Thats why I said I love his south compositions.. He hasnt lost his touch.. His recent work on Maariyaan is beyond words.. U should hear to that song names Innum Konjam Neram.. Sorry from mobile so cant post the YT video..

I think ARR still makes gems like these for south indian movies. my guess is its the producers who make the call in rejecting/accepting samples.

the melody for "tu hi tu" from kabhi na kabhi is from a song "veesum thendral" he made earlier for a tamil movie, and the melody for "milgaye milgayi" from kabhi na kabhi is from a song "anjali anjali" he made for another tamil movie.

Music is definitely as per the ears of the hearer. True that! I can never appreciate hard metal for the love of my life while my friends swear by it.
