Well she is the only actress from the 90s or early 2000s along with Kajol that is till considered for lead roles in A list films today. Quite an accomplishment for someone never in the top 3. I feel her filmography is better in than a lot of others.

Rather than acting, Aishwarya is famous for her beauty. she was in top 3 women in india for decade.. acting was her profession..so it came along

I don't think she was ever taken seriously as an actress (except by her fans) by mass audience. And she has no screen presence/charm either, so that also worked against her. Moreover, her giggle and voice. 🤢 People won't go to theater to watch the most beautiful woman in the world in motion, because frankly she is only enticing when she is mute. 😛 So it's better just to download/print her pictures or get her posters cause she can't move/talk in those.😆

I guess it also didn't help that all her contemporaries were far more talented performers than her and the only thing that worked in her favour is her looks. So she lagged behind. Plus tiff with Khans certainly didn't help. 😆

She can be considered a very big star,definitely. But an actress? Never was nor will be. 😆

If top actress means giving hits by her name, even Kareena does not stand anywhere. Except Jab We Met, all her hit movies have her doing a flowerpot role starting from Poo. Still she has the hype.

Credit of Vivah hardly went to Amrita Rao, Shahid took the credit. Though Kismot connection did well, everyone spoke about vidya's weight. But in JWM, all praises went to Kareena.

She has been looking healthy all through her career except for few months. Still her size zero was talk of the town (and nobody discussed how Tashan tanked). A naturally petite girl like Amrita's figure was never spoken of, like Bebo. Some people become stars for no reason.
