Nope...Lagaan first went to SRK. Ashutosh and SRK are friends from their TV days.

Nope, Aamir got it first. Refused to produce it, went to SRK who also refused to produce it. Aamir's wife Reena stepped in and convinced Aamir the second time around.

Aamir and Ashutosh knew each other right from Holi...He,Ashutosh and that char who plays dhol in Lagaan (don't remember the name) were buddies...watch out for Chale chalo documentary,Ashutosh had said that he had first gone to Aamir...they had done Baazi before...

Indicine too had mentioned it:

Lagaan first went to Aamir. Watch Chale Chalo; its a movie on the making of Lagaan. It very insightful as to how the epic came into being.

And regarding this thread, Aamir didnt claim anything; which the title is implying.

Salman himself said that BB went to Aamir first. Nobody forced him to say so.

Anyway what matters is who does the movie in the end.

Also Aamir did infact get offered HAHK. They wanted to repeat the super-hit jodi of DIL, I presume. Aamir found the script utter boring.

Just to clarify

Saajan: Aamir was offered Dutt's role not Salmans.
RDB: Srk was offered Madhavan's role(a guest appearance). Not Aamirs.

Even watch some intvws of Ashustosh abt Laagan making...He had written the script of Lagaan in just 7 days...The making of Lagaan is a very fascinating tale...The film had triumphed against all odds and it's the biggest risk Aamir had taken...

Its a common tactic...after a film is made and its known someone else rejected it...claim later that the person who did the film rejected it first. Anyways no big deal who rejected a film. Who did a film is more important.
