First of all who would sacrifice 1 year into making this periodic film. And also maintaining a shaved head for such a long time. Hiding that look, other than Ranveer no one else would agree. Not Hrithik nor Ranbir. Definitely not the 3 khans.

Hrithik could have but Ranveer is the perfect choice.

When i hear the names which could pull off better than Ranveer than i dont know what kind of trailer we all saw. From the youngsters there is no one even not a Ranbir. He can act but he cant pull off everything. I am still one of those who thinks he was a miscast in BV. And please i dont even want to go further after Ranbir. Nameing HR because of his looks is even funnier I am not sure if he could pull of THAT look even he wouldnt do it his hair is to important. Thats why I even admire Ranveers dedictation towards his movies that he thinks about everything when he plays the character and he nailed it. Yes Ranveer has in real life a much more soft voice but still we have to see more what he changed in his voice and he is one of those actors who can mimic a lot of peoples voices. And I dont think his voice was that bad when he delivered the last phrase. Besides all this conversation about that actor has a better voice or that actor looks royal Bajirao was really young. He married Kashibai in a really young age and even met Mastani when he was around his 30 and died when he was 40 besides that he was actually younger than his wifes. So only looking to that aspect it only shows that Ranveer really fits to that part. So there is even no need to name the actors who are above their 40s.

I am from the same sect and I too found difference in her pronounciations. But I have heard her speak Konkani and she does speak well.

SLB should have casted Ajay, Akshay, Hrithik real men.Was expecting alot from Ranveer's look but disappointed. He doesn't have that powerful charisma to carry such a role. He looks like a kid, something is off.

Such roles are meant for real men. Hrithik's name comes first to the mind. Then maybe Ajay or Akki.

Akshay hasn't exactly done period films, no? That's sad how his rugged masculine persona hasn't been tapped for such roles.

Ranveer fitted the bill as per looks but his dialogue delivery is not upto the mark. I can't comment on his body language without watching the entire film though.

But he is best suited for this role among young lot of actors.
