Funny how things work on here. Before the teaser, majority were lamenting at the potential fate of BM. People thought it would be epic flop and would completely demolish Ranveer's BW career. Hell...Dilwale is also supposed to be "pulverizing" BM at the BO.

Now after a 3 minute teaser with not even dialogues in them, things have taken a new turn...now everyone and their dog is supposed to outdo Ranveer's Bajirao. 😆

I agree with everyone who told Ajay would have fitted the bill. Rest I am not sure.
And I don't know why some touchy Ranveer fans are taking offense about this post. I nowhere said he is not good as Bajirao, I just asked for another option.Keep calm and follow Ranveer.

On topic, Ajay could have easily done this. I actually didn't think of Ranveer as Bajirao. When SLB talked about this project back in 2003, I thought Ajay suited the part, then as well, not Salman. Ajay is great at doing intense roles. But anyway, now he is too old to play a 20-37 year old's lifespan on celluloid. You need to have that rugged look to play a warrior prince so the others from the younger lot that come to mind are Randeep Hooda and Vidyut Jamwal. Varun, Shahid etc are too babyfaced.

Someone who can look the part is Mohit Raina the guy who played shiva. He would definitely suit the role. Acting chops - I don't know.

There is this telugu actor Allu arjun. He would also suit perfectly.

Haha! I am Veer fan alright! I love the guy, but Mohit is telly's superstar and is seriously a stellar actor.
