^^ No. HR is too tall and imposing for a brahmin Peshwa. Horrible choice. Ajay is too dark. Ranveer, physically, fits the bill. Not too tall or imposing, not too dark or too fair. Just that his voice is not deep enough and delivery is weak.

Deepika, funnily enough, is a Konkoni Brahmin herself.

Ranvir in my opinion looks like a sadak chap!! Not a warrior. His voice doesn't suit as well

Hrithik woikd have a great warrior and he has great voice modulation skills

Ajay could have from the options u gave , but Bajirao died in his mid 30's so it is better that they have taken Ranveer for the role , he'll be suitable in showing his journey from teenage to the warrior who won 41 battles.

looked very marathi..sober sombre..perfect cast to carry out the bald look

We are making an assumption that a peshwa is supposed to have manly voice and all that..lets watch the movie and the context..if not suited then we can discuss again

when JA released it was said Hrithik is looking too young and thin for Akbar..he should have the masculine broad kinda get up to pull Akbar..but he was perfect for the royal character

So watch out the movie first then we can reconvene

There was nothing remotely 'feminine' about Ram in Ram Leela. Has anyone heard Bajirao speak to know if his voice was gruff?

Yep RS has done a good job...& this is only a 3 min teaser...just the dialogue should have been more powerful. It took away the impact.

Bajirao was of medium height & HR is tall...that's true but Brahmin Chitpawan's are tall too... I'm from the same sect.

But we are not talking about random Brahmins here. We are talking about a specific person and he was not tall or imposing physically. Shahid actually would have been good choice actually. Ranveer's dialogue delivery does leave a lot to be desired.

HR is a terrible choice IMO. This tendency of pushing HR into every period movie is ridiculous. He looks nothing like authentic Indian warriors. Tall and sexy do not maketh an authentic warrior. Sid is too good looking. Varun would probably work but his voice is bad as well.

@bold Oh, she's a Sarasawat Brahmin then konkoni must be her mother tongue right?but she's not fluent in it[from the cnwk epi]😕,same with Kannada,strange she does not have a great command of any language😕

^^ Lol no idea why. Her dialogue delivery is plain terrible. Except she was really good in Piku. She needs to work on it so much. Her expressions are nice enough usually.

Yeah, Saraswat Brahmins and they speak Konkani.

I mentioned that BJR was of medium height and RS throughout the teaser looked good/well suited. Just the last dialogue was not that impact full.

IMO more than Akbar,HR's features suited Bajirao...Akbar was not tall as well but HR was good in it. Only the accent would have been a problem. I can't imagine marathi accented hindi from HR's mouth😆 That's why IMO,Ajay(in his younger days) was a good choice too.
