Saif can't even be compared with Akki or Ajay Devgan. He's a great actor but his appeal heavily depends on whom he's paired with (Deepika, Rani, Katrina etc). Unfortunately, he can't be considered a solo hero, like Abhishek.

Let's not compare him to Irfan Khan, he didn't got films in platter for years just to churn out flops after flops, he made his mark on his performances film after film. What he has impact in critical circle is untouchable, BO wise he couldn't make big coz he ain't that Hero kind we have seen from years.

He has done this, he has done that? Just your imagination. Let me tell u this, His Solo Hit films are just 3 in 23 years. With DCH, he might have stepped into for URBAN Audience, but even they couldn't bear him in his SOLO Films, even Maases/Urban excuse couldn't save the kind of failure he has delivered over the past 23 years.

You know Billa, one thing I don't like, is how you undermine and dump on actors that struggled to get where they are.

I've seen you use this argument not just for Saif but for Fawad as well. Like oh, his first movie wasn't even solo.

So you know what? I don't think there's anything left to debate.

If you can't appreciate struggle and you use it as a weakness, then we have no argument here. I personally prefer and appreciate actors that struggled to achieve their stardom than the ones that got it instantly.

So you whatever. You can have your opinion, I'll have mine.

Why not?

To say someone is a good actor LIKE etc is a compliment to Irfan Khan. He's a benchmark for acting.

I don't see the joke in it? Do you? Its not like I compared I terrible actor with Irfan.

Well Saif is a very good actor but he shouldn't be compared with likes of Irfan Khan.

But if VERY GOOD actors can't be compared to Irfan, who can be? It's a comparison. A similarity. I'm not saying he IS Irfan Khan. Irfan obviously has a lot more good work behind him.

But how many BIG HITS has Irfan got? He's a quality actor without that many solo hits.

I think they can be compared.

Yes they can also book holidays but they are not bullies like some to announce Diwali and Eid if some other movie is already announced , Ajay booked Diwali for SoS and how yrf bullied him ...good he has booked next two diwalis 😉

I replied u there also but I think u ignored that and only considered my ROFL reply. And many times I was the first who use to reply ppl on many post on various threads. 😛 😆

Its not an compulsory rule that u cant announce ur filam if one filam is already booked on festival date anyone can book any date there is no rule to not book that date. I know at that JTHJ vs SOS situation in that case YRF bullied and took majority of screens despite that it did 100 crs business at BO.

There r actors and there r stars. And there r stars who can act as well as their starpower.

Saif is star who dances around the trees and supposed to bring ppl in cinema halls.

Irfan is an actor par excellence who is supposed to give flawless perf. everytime and he does that.

There is no comparison.

That's why you can compare AND contrast.

Comparison - Great actors who dabbled in plenty of off beat cinema. Irfan as his main roles, Saif, a lot during his earlier days.

Contrast: Saif is ALSO commercial.

He's more similar to Irfan than he is to Salman in his approach to acting. But sure, yeah, he can also do commercial cinema and chooses to.

Now he's going back to what he did well. Which is offbeat as well.
