Is this only me who feels HR's popularity is highly overrated at IF ? ...here ppl put him above Akshay and ajay 😆 ...consider him 4th star 😆

50 cr is too much. So bcz it's a period film and say min cost is 50 cr so budget is 100cr already , ignoring other cast's fee and promotion costs

Max it will cost 150 cr ... Can HR guarantee 150 cr recovery just based On his star power even if movie is really really weak with weak music ? ( from recovery i mean distrubuter's money recovery not producers who somehow still can recover money from so many sources ) , Even Salman can't do it ( Jai Ho ) ... Star power can only give good opening, long term revenue depends on script , story , music , entertainment etc

But it's producer's fault who pay them more than what they deserve

but Ashu and co did not pay him 50 crs based on his IF popularity na ? so who cares about his popularity in IF ? not his producers or HR himself at least, the rest time will tell, he is currently bigger than Akshay and Ajay and the graph of his film's business say that and not his fans . Fans ka kya hai, hum chahey tou HR ko AB sr se bhi acha keh sakte hai na, its an opinion, but numbers of his films are still better than that of Akki and Ajay's

@bold - I have edited my post, it's producer's fault who pay them so much , more than what they deserve , to HR and to Ranbir , then to recover their cost they hype the movie so much , sell it to the distrubuters on much high cost which they don't recover if movie falls flat on Monday after a good opening

abt HR bigger than Ajay and Akshay - I can just laugh 😆

Krish 3 had controversial collections , then bang bang came after a year ( for fans a movie after a year is a big deal ) yet got only semi hit tag ...while ajay's singham returns in 2014 got super hit tag , and Akshay, ( whose 4-5 movies come every year ) his holiday got a Hit tag , then based on what u are saying currently he is a bigger star than these two ? 😆

HR is over rated on IF, Akshay/Ajay anyday better than HR. Both acting and filmography wise.

Haha, i dont why ppl r so surprized abt HR's MD 50 Crs cheque... I been telling this for long time.

HR is right after Khans as for starpower. If some1 thinks Akshay or Ajay or Ranbir, just ask a common man.. was there a film called entertainment, action jackson, Roy etc??

Superstars' flops r even remembered. Under performing films like Ra-1, Jai ho or Bang Bang r discussed.

If anything, HR is way underrated on IF. Ashutosh is no Anurag, he has taken huge challanges in past.on big canvas... Lagaan or JA is not every1's cup of tea. If he and other producers agree to give HR 50 Crs, they sure didnt do it on basis on how popular Hr is on IF. 😆

OT- this is what happened when ATBBs like CE, K3, D3, Kick, Pk keep happening, in between there r also many 100 Crs plus films.. overflow.. inflation.. hike in prices.

Bv has shaken up BW badly.. althou therez Piku and TWMR success right there. But this is just first half of the year.. 2nd half is gonna more interesting... in terms of BO.

As for star's fees, yes.. 50 Crs is too much for anybody. As some1 said, signing fee and then profit or lose sharing ... that wud every1 in very responsible place. The actor will pay so much attention to the script coz now its not just "shot the film... got paid.. who cares".. its his pay on stack. 😆 Same goes for the makers.. be carefulwbo u sign and what u r making..

It will also reduce the budget and that will more chances for a film to become success on BO. PPl wont care who got what after that.

So, lets say HR says ok with 15 Crs signing amount and then some % of profit share if there is any.. that brings the budget of the film down by 35 Crs... huge number. That gives the film to well on BO and better verdict. So, evey1 will be happy if the film does well, and the damage is minimised if the film doesnt do well.
