^Why'd Girish share wrong info? Isn't his info right most of the times? Plus I don't blame him there was an article where it mentioned Vishal gonna release his movies in Oct during festival only.

Shahid Kapoor: Vishal Bhardwaj's films precious jewels for me

With Kaminey and Haider, Vishal Bhardwaj has given Shahid Kapoor breakthrough roles in his career and the actor is on cloud nine for getting a chance to work with the director for the third time in Rangoon.

The upcoming period drama also stars Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut in lead roles. The 34-year-old actor heaped praise on his co-stars, calling them "phenomenally talented".

"I am very excited to be starring in Rangoon. Any film with Vishal Bhardwaj is like a precious jewel for me. So, I hope I can give him the character that he needs me to play. That's what I need to do and I am focusing on that," Shahid told reporters here.

"Saif and Kangana are phenomenally talented. Kangana has had an outstanding last couple of years and she is taking acting to another level and changing the benchmark for all of us. Saif is somebody, who did his best work (Omkara) with Vishal sir. He has got an amazing character inRangoon," he added.

There is a lot of buzz around the casting of the film as it brings together for the first time Shahid and Saif, who have a personal history with the latter married to the R... Rajkumar actor's former girlfriend Kareena Kapoor. Shahid, however, seems to be unaffected by the speculation and only wants to concentrate on his performance.

"To me, it is a coming together of two actors due to a vision of a director, I have amazing respect for. I also have huge respect for the two actors I am going to work with in the film. "So, I am really excited to enter that space and doing this movie and hoping that I am able to do what my director wants from me. That's how I look at it," he said.

Vishal Bhardwaj: 'Rangoon' is my most ambitious venture, so it needs Sajid Nadiadwala's vision

Vishal Bhardwaj, Saif Ali Khan, Kangana Ranaut and Shahid Kapoor

The Saif-Shahid-Kangana film is a musical set against the backdrop of World War II.

Vishal Bhardwaj is a master storyteller. A major point to note with his epic Rangoon, though, is the scale on which it is mounted. Calling the Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut starrer, which goes on floors on November 15, his most ambitious venture, the National Award-winning filmmaker says, "Rangoon is a classic tale that will have the musical charm of Moulin Rouge, the romance of Casablanca and the intensity and drama ofSaving Private Ryan. Like Saving Private Ryan, Rangoon too is set against the backdrop of World War II."

Talking of his decision to join hands with Sajid Nadiadwala's banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt. Ltd (NG) for this magnum opus, Vishal says, "I wanted to make this subject for eight years now. However, I knew from the start that this is a film that would take the vision of a producer like Sajid. It needs to be mounted on a lavish scale and after meeting Sajid, I felt he was the right man to take this project forward. The film not only needs a huge budget, but also requires someone who believes in it and allows me to make it the way I have envisioned it. I have made eight movies until now. However, I must add here that the scale of all those films put together is on one aside and that of Rangoon, alone, is on the other. That's how ambitious Rangoon is."

So there you go. Sajid and Vishal will leave no stone unturned to ensure that this is one of the most ambitious Indian movies that the world has ever seen.

Rangoon is written by world-renowned writers Matthew Robbins, who collaborated with Steven Spielberg on The Sugarland Express (1974) and more recently with Guillermo del Toro forCrimson Peak (2015) and Sabrina Dhawan, who worked with Mira Nair on Monsoon Wedding(2001). It will be shot in Mumbai, Arunachal Pradesh and in the US.

Sajid says, "The NG team and I are very excited to work with Vishal Bhardwaj."

Shahid Kapoor in Shaandaar or his new look from Rangoon - which one do you find more appealing? VOTE

We are back with yet another poll and it's time for you to cast your votes right away...

Shahid Kapoor impressed many with his chocolate boy look in Shaandaar. He was back to being himself sporting an undercut hairdo with a sexy stubble, hot bod and oh-so-cute smile of his! Even during Shaandaar promotions, he made us go weak in the knees, every time he stepped out making those breezy style statements. There was nothing that could stop us from crushing on Shahid's Shaandaar look. But today I woke up to these another set of pictures which probably has Sasha sporting his Rangoon look and boy, what a drastic makeover...

While Rangoon plots a love triangle between Shahid, Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut. Sasha's grungy look with the bandana and his heavy beard is enough to leave us craving for more. Don't you think he has already got the temperatures soaring? Of course this isn't the first time he has grown such a beard as we had seen his similar avatar during Haider. But the combination of beard with a bandana is being such a stunner on his face. If this doesn't melt your hearts then I dunno what will. ..

Given that Shahid is also a master of haircuts, don't be surprised if you further get to find a new hairdo beneath that bandana. For all that we know, he had similarly disguised his look even during the shoot of Udta Pujab a few months back. Remember, the blue streak on his long tresses?
