This specific issue cropped up due to negative roles discussion.

I do not think Darr and Anjaam are comparable to Earth and Raakh. The former are villains in purest sense of the word. And I do not think Aamir did such characters or can do them as well as SRK did.

I would personally say same if comic timing is discussed, in that case, Aamir trumps SRK. SRK never impressed me in comedy.

I am pretty divided on these 2 actors. Currently we are discussing minutiae, hence the talk over Darr and Earth type characters.

I think both can be judged in all ways.

Neither should be excused in case comparison has to be fair.

It is not just about doing but also doing it as good as possible.

Why are people talking about what SRK can 'do'? As a fan I also believe my favs can do many things. Aamir's choices already makes him the smarter actor out of the two. If someone is not consistent how can they be a good actor? SRK's acting in CE is so pathetic that I can also say that 'potential' wise Ranbir is better than him. SRK's so called great comedy movies make me cringe ( so much overacting man!) while Aamir's AAA and Rangeela performances still make me laugh.

SRK is just a copycat of many bollywood and hollywood actors (dilip, bigB, sean connery etc... he himself confessed it)... and the WORLD knows about his gutter level over acting and hamming...

Now that I think about it, you're bang on. SRK has been way too pathetic and artificial in his last many ventures. Going by the supposedly "reality", Aamir definitely trumps him when it comes to acting cuz he didn't let the rat race affect his acting and continued with his ever so brilliant acting. He is just as versatile and successful all the way till now while the same can't be said about Saagy. Definitely even Ranbir beats him at acting at the moment, truer words haven't been spoken.

I blame BI for posting that Clip and swaying my opinion cuz I am in love with that movie... 😆
