Why are people talking about what SRK can 'do'? As a fan I also believe my favs can do many things. Aamir's choices already makes him the smarter actor out of the two. If someone is not consistent how can they be a good actor? SRK's acting in CE is so pathetic that I can also say that 'potential' wise Ranbir is better than him. SRK's so called great comedy movies make me cringe ( so much overacting man!) while Aamir's AAA and Rangeela performances still make me laugh.

Just because Aamir stars in great progressive films does NOT mean he himself is the best actor.

In 3 Idiots, Sharman and Madhavan stole the show alongside Boman Irani.

In Talaash it was Kareena and Nawaaz followed by Rani.

Lagaan yes, Aamir was exceptional in, but again, it wasn't a pathbreaking performance. More a pathbreaking FILM.

Shahrukh's performances in the past have a been a lot more powerful. Forget his stagnant era.

Think Koyla, Darr, Dil Se, Anjaam.

Shahrukh played gray characters LONG before they became the cool thing to do. So based on that, I would say Shahrkh is the better actor. He has a more spontaneous and powerful approach.

You haven't mentioned Rangeela, DCH, RDB, TZP,PK etc where Aamir was exceptional

Boman was too good so as the guy who played Chatur but Aamir was great as usual too
When a film is great the credit should go to actors as well
They should at least get 50% credit for the film
Whats the point in starring in a average ghisapita movie with a stand out performance ?
Honestly, although SRK is a good actor I don't find any difference between him in Anjam and Darr
Koyla was an average film in every angle
Rather I liked him in Bazigaar

I think we have forgot to add 1947 Earth and Sarfarosh in the list

I agree with desigal90. It is not about what SRK can do, it is about what he has already done.

And no matter what others say, I can't see Aamir pull off roles like Darr.

Aamir is weak in negative, villainous roles.

Paresh Rawal and Shakti Kapoor in AAA

Omi Vaidya in 3I On period dramas, Mangal Pandey anyone?

And negative characters? Dilnawaz is good but not a real negative character. The character became bitter later. Aamir has never done a true blue negative or psycho role!
